4. Email is hard
• Half the time we can’t remember the information to respond with, and need to
look it up. The more specific the request is, the harder it is to find;
• Sometimes it is hard to even know WHO is emailing you (are they a client? a
lead? a new colleague?), and HOW they know you (meeting from last year?
client from before you joined? maybe you share a project?);
• You don’t know how a colleague or employee has already interacted with the
contact;
• Clients can send e-mails asking for quick but specific information, which takes
time to find; and
• Most emails also require the management/logging/update of a remote system,
which is time consuming and thus either ignored, or done haphazardly once
every few weeks.
5. So what do we do?
• Open many tabs;
• Try and remember which system has the information we need, and
hope it is accurate and up to date;
• Update the remote system with new information (only sometimes);
• Ignore updating, and bulk update systems once per month (missing
many pieces on the way); or
• Wait until client emails us twice;
6. This really is hard

7. And a problem
• Missed opportunities and intelligence;
• Money is spent on systems that could be helping (i.e. CRM, PM
Manager, Collab Tools) but are not present;
• We don’t even update our tools for quick things, leading to further
data corrosion;
• Significant time is wasted both looking up data, logging in,
coordinating syncs and re-stating information; and
• We are not the best we can be.
10. Introducing morse.io
• morse.io helps you understand the people in your inbox, by
showing context such as shared meetings and project updates next
to each email (Gmail & Outlook).
• Context is derived from ‘apps’. You pick and choose which apps
makes the most sense to you. Apps takes less than 2 minutes to
install, and begin working immediately.
• Apps can be about anything, from Shared Projects & Sales Leads
to Marketing Open Rates & Special Offers. You pick and choose,
based on what you need. Apps sync with tools you already use,
such as Google Calendar & Basecamp.
11. Build email apps
• morse.io makes it easy and fast to build apps that work on both
Outlook and Gmail within minutes. Apps are iframes, pointed to
your Application Url;
• Email apps appear next to a users inbox. As a user changes
emails, the email sidebar re-scopes allowing context relevant data
to be rendered;
• Apps can be listed publicly (make your product available in the
inbox!) or private (provision private data next to your teams email,
and only distribute to your team);
• See https://morse.io/developers
12. Key Benefits
• Missed opportunities and intelligence: Critical information is displayed
immediately, next to each message;
• Money is spent on systems that could be helping: Each system can
display the critical information it has in a structured/categorized way;
• We don’t even update our tools for quick things, leading to further data
corrosion: Most systems can now be updated without ever leaving
email;
• Significant time is wasted both looking up data, logging in, coordinating
syncs and re-stating information: There is no need to log in/out of most
systems for light tasks;
• overview
13. Provisioning Tools
• Bulk Create/Approve corporate accounts by mailbox or domain;
• Pre-install & lock apps to specific users or groups;
• Block access to specific apps based on organization or group; and
• Apps that are available to your organization only.
