Snow leopards are solitary cats that live in the mountains of Central Asia. They have thick fur and long tails, and can reach speeds of 33 mph when hunting prey up to three times their weight, such as ibex or blue sheep. Snow leopards are endangered due to habitat loss and poaching for the fur trade and traditional medicine markets.
