PROJECT INTRODUCTION
The Project Bright Career Institute is based on “Institute Management System” The Idea of
developing “Institute Management System” project is come in ourmind when we go to the
Government Institute where we see that data is handled manually in the form of files.
This is an attempt to create a project “Institute Management System” through Which will show
all the working of Institute will be automated.
This project can make the tedious and mistake – prone job easier and faster. It can be used both
in top – level and bottom – level management for daily Operation.
All the facilities for retrieving like student information, teacher’s information, Courses and fees
management will be added, deleted,updated and saved in the Project .
Admin will have to authority to add,delete for all the contents of andInformation including its
data used in this institute management system.Admin will also be responsible to provide user id
to their different users.Admin will have the authority to add information and provide permission
to particular person for accessing particular resources under this system.

Objective
The Objective is to design a system that can integrate all the above features in a single system.
So that it can be easy to use.the new system should have all the records and files in the old
system in a comprehensively linked manner so that whenever we want to retrieve some
information, It can be done in an efficient manner.
The desigining aspects of new system should be aimed towards basing all the Fields and data
records in a single database form where any operation on the dataOr data retrieval can be done
easily.

As Compared to existing system,in new system the user can get the information Fast ,easily and
efficiently from the software.
• Reliable and Accurate
As in new system,the information is stored and processed in computers so that will be more
reliable and accurate.

In the existing system ,data records are kept under file maintance system due to This system the
placement of the data is not at one particular place.But in a new System,each and every record is
maintained on computer & which leads to the Centralization of data.

As in purposed system data is maintained so the computers so inconsistency does not occur
which will never lead to problem like duplication of data.

As compared to existing system,In new system the user can easily and efficiently accesses the
information from the computer.

Project Plan
The idea of developing Institute Management System project is come in our mind We go to the
Institute of “government institute of technology” where we will see that all the work is done
manually and all the data will be stored by using files & register the record of every student
,courses,teachers are handled manually and there is no use of nay computer.
All the facilities for retrieving like student information,teacher information,courses and fee
management will be added and deleted ,updated and saved in the project.
This project can make the tedious and mistake prone job easier and faster.It can be both top-level
and bottom-level management for daily operation.
The new system will automate the hole working of institute.In this project we will retrieve the
information of student or update the information easily by the use of computer.
The proposed system is very fast, easily and eficient system.The proposed system is also less
dependent on employees.It work without the help of employees.The whole software is work
automatic.The entire software is full of photographs of all topics categorized under different
groups.

Technologies used in Project
Notepad is a simple text editor for Microsoft Windows and a basic text-editing program which
enables computer users to create documents. It has been included in all versions of Microsoft
Windows since Windows 1.0 in 1985.
Features
Notepad is a common text-only (plain text) editor. The resulting files—typically saved with
the .txt extension—have no format tags or styles, making the program suitable for editing system
DOS environment and, occasionally, source code for later compilation or execution, usually
through a command prompt. It is also useful for its negligible use of system resources; making
for quick load time and processing time, especially on under-powered hardware. Notepad
supports both left-to-right and right-to-left based languages. Unlike WordPad, Notepad does
not treat newlines in Unix- or Mac-style text files correctly. Notepad offers only the most basic
text manipulation functions, such as finding text. Only newer versions of Windows include an
updated version of Notepad with a search and replace function. However, it has much less
functionality in comparison to full-scale editors.
Microsoft's first Notepad version predates Windows. They included it in a set of utilities they
bundled with the Microsoft Mouse as early as 1983. Like subsequent versions, it was a plain text
editor that used the mouse for menu navigation and text manipulation. However, unlike its
Windows successors, it was a DOS program limited to full-screen operation.

Java is a programming language and computing platform first released by Sun Microsystems
in 1995. There are lots of applications and websites that will not work unless you have Java
installed, and more are created every day. Java is fast, secure, and reliable.
Object – Oriented language
java is an object-oriented language similar to C++, but simplified to eliminate language features
that cause common programming errors. Java source code files (files with a.java extension)
are compiled into a format called bytecode (files with a. class extension), which can then be
executed by a Java interpreter. Compiled Java code can run on most computers because Java
interpreters and runtime environments, known as java virtual machine(jvm), exist for
most operating systems, including UNIX, the Macintosh OS, and Windows. Bytecode can also
be converted directly into machine language instructions by a just-in-time compiler (JIT). In
2007, most Java technologies were released under the GNU General Public License.
Eclipise
Eclipse is a platform that has been designed from the ground up for building integrated web and
application development tooling. By design, the platform does not provide a great deal of end
user functionality by itself. The value of the platform is what it encourages: rapid development of
integrated features based on a plug-in model.
Eclipse provides a common user interface (UI) model for working with tools. It is designed to
run on multiple operating systems while providing robust integration with each underlying OS.
Plug-ins can program to the Eclipse portable APIs and run unchanged on any of the supported
operating systems.
At the core of Eclipse is an architecture for dynamic discovery, loading, and running of plug-ins.
The platform handles the logistics of finding and running the right code. The platform UI

provides a standard user navigation model. Each plug-in can then focus on doing a small
number of tasks well. What kinds of tasks? Defining, testing, animating, publishing, compiling,
debugging, diagramming...the only limit is your imagination
History of Oracle (database)
• In 1977, Larry Ellison, Bob Miner and Ed Oates founded Software Development
Laboratories to undertake development work
• After reading a paper by Codd in IBM Journal of Research and Development, they
created Oracle. The first version was never released. It was written in Assembly language
of PDP which ran in 128kb of RAM.
• Version 2.0 of Oracle was released in 1979 and it became first commercial relational
database and first SQL database. The company changed its name to Relational Software
Inc. (RSI).
• In 1981, RSI started developing tools for Oracle.
• In 1982, RSI was renamed to Oracle Corporation. It held its first user conference in San
Francisco.
• In 1983, Oracle released version 3.0, which was rewritten in C language and ran on
multiple platforms.
• In 1984, Oracle version 4.0 was released. It contained features like concurrency control -
multi-version read consistency etc.
• By 1985, Oracle released version 5.0 and became the first relational database that worked
in client/server environment.
• In 1986, Oracle goes public on the NASDAQ exchange.
• In 1987, Oracle wanted to create enterprise applications that take advantage of their
database.
• In 1988, Oracle version 6.0 was released. It provided row-level locking, hot
backup and PL/SQL as main features.
 By 1989, Oracle moved to new headquarters in Redwood Shores, California.
 In 1990, they released Oracle Applications Release 8, which included account software
for client/server
 In 1995, Oracle became the first major company to announce
a comprehensive internet strategy.
 In 1997, Oracle released Oracle 8.0 and Oracle Applications 10.7. It started
embracing Java. Partitioning, support for different types of data like images, large text,
external data etc.(lobs) are provided. It also started providing support for Object in
database becoming an Object-Relational DBMS

 By 1999, Oracle realized that "Internet Changes everything". Oracle released Oracle
8i and Oracle Applications 11i. They supported open standards like XML. Oracle8i
provided Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to run Java program in Oracle Database and also
scalability, which was required for internet databases.
 In 2000, Oracle9iAS was released. Oracle corporation is no longer a company providing
only database management system and instead started providing all that it takes to
develop and deploy a complete application. AS(Application Server) runs on middle tier
in 3-tier Client/Server architecture boosting the performance.
 In 2001, Oracle9i was released. It allows Oracle to run on RAC (Real Application
Cluster), which is a collection of low-cost servers. It also allowed XML documents to be
stored and queried in Oracle Database.
 In 2003, Oracle10g was released, where g stands for Grid computing, which servers
computing power across the enterprise as a utility, automatically shifting processing load
based on demand. Oracle10g also made a lot of administrative tasks automatic.
 In 2007, Oracle has released Oracle11g. The new version focused on better partitioning,
easy migration etc.

 Change of course & batch can be done easily.
 Students record can be filtered according to course & batch wise
Fees Management :-
The fee module enables you to maintain registers of fee receipts and outstanding amounts on a
student/class basis. The fee module has a configurable structure for different fee head, and its
calculations thereof. This module also provisions for fee waivers and optional fees.

 Computerized Billing
 You can verify fee structure of different classes.
 Amount dues and amount received can be viewed as per month and year with all/specific,
class/section or individual student.
 Easy Counter payment process.
 Printing facility is not mandatory, payment and receipt can be generated on one go.

Login Module is used to check whether the user is an authorized person to use the system or
not.For this user should give the correct username and password.
ADMIN: - In this module admin can perform many operations .She/he can create a new user
.Only admin can create a new user .Admin can see all the data files, Add new data files & can
delete any file.

In Homepage we can use six logo for a different form.Admission form logo is linked with the
student admission form when we click on a admission form logo Then student admission form
will be opened & the one message will be seen in your computer screen admission form open

Admission Form
The Admission Form is desigined for registrating the new student detail and course detail.In this
form we enter the student personal detail just like Address, City, Name and its Date of birth
,Contact No,Email Id, we also entered the course fee detail.we stored our data for a long time
with the help of Mysql Query browser.We are create a table in mysql query browser. When we
fill any detail about student the information of the student are stored in this table. We are using a
insert query statement to entering the data . we are also apply validation.When he/shen donot
enter one textbox information the validation will be shown on screen

The Course Form is used to enter the detail of the different courses and other relevant detail.this
form is used to add new course in institute.In this form we describe new course detail & its fee
detail and its course duration detail.we also allocate new course id .the purpose of the course
form is to add new course in the institute this coding is used to insert the detail into the table.

The teacher form is used to add new teacher detail into the institute.In this form we enter teacher
personal detail just like that Name & father name dob,address,city,contact no,email id ,its
qualification,and its experience,we also allocate the teacher id .The Main objective of teacher
form is enter the detail of teacher .

In this form we will delete & view the pervious data we can delete Admission form data
through delete query we can delete the data we use database connectivity to view or delete the
data .

In this form we have delete or view fee deposit data we use database connectivity to delete or

Conclusion
Project Planning is part of project management.which relates to the use of schedules such as
Gantt charts to plan and subsequently report progress within the project environment.
Initially, the project scope is defined and the appropriate methods for completing the project are
determined. Following this step, the durations for the various tasks necessary to complete
the work are listed and grouped into a work breakdown structure. Project planning is often used
to organize different areas of a project, including project plans, work loads and the management
of teams and individuals.The logical dependencies between tasks are defined using an activity
network diagram that enables identification of theoretical. Project planning is inherently
uncertain as it must be done before the project is actually started. Therefore the duration of the
tasks is often estimated through a weighted average of optimistic, normal, and pessimistic cases.
The critical chain method adds "buffers" in the planning to anticipate potential delays in project
for an execution. Float or slack time in the schedule can be calculated using project management
software. Then the necessary resources can be estimated and costs for each activity can be
allocated to each resource, giving to The total project cost. At this stage, the project
schedule may be optimized to achieve the appropriate balance between resource usage and
project duration to comply with the project objectives. Once established and agreed, the project
schedule becomes what is known as the baseline schedule. Progress will be measured against the
baseline schedule throughout the life of the project.
