- The North Pennines isn’t just in County Durham of course. We only ever really present the single entity in anything we do and the whole of the AONB is an asset to the whole of each of its constituent counties and to wider north.
- But of course, as a UNESCO Global Geopark we have a world class geological and mining heritage. Many of the things we’ve seen so far are geological featueres, alongside whatever else they may be.
