2. I have been asked to make a radio trailer, a poster and a short 5 minute film with my group based on anything
we want.
We have to include the four main components which are Mise en scene, Camera, Editing and Sound. These
are essential because they are what engages and attracts the audience.
Our idea is a seasonal thriller film as it set at around christmas.
We are aiming to subvert the codes and conventions
We will also be considering the representation of characters and ways in which we can show their role. For
example, if we want to show that someone is acting as a child, they would be dressed in colourful
patterned clothing and maybe colouring in a book.
I will also be applying theorists and their theories to my project and comparing the similarities and
differences.
