2. Non-diegetic Music
• This made the production as a whole more appealing to
viewers, especially the non-diegetic sound whilst the
protagonist was in a lift. This is because it gave the opening an
interesting and unique effect as it made the production sound
like he was about to fight in a videogame. This would attract
teenagers as our data shows most of them tend to enjoy
playing videogames and are attracted to the sound within
them as they make everything more enjoyable.
3. The Costumes
• The costumes every character wore throughout the
production was formal. This is to make the action
opening sequence look stereotypical in the sense that
many characters within action movies wear suits as if
they are on a duty and on their normal job to find who
they are looking for and either capture them or kill them.
This will appeal to the audience since most of them will
either go to school or some type of work or college
which will involve wearing formal clothing, but it will also
attract them as the costume mirrors many stereotypical
action movie characters’ costumes making them want to
view it as they are able to familiarise with them.
4. Age of characters
• Our audience ranges from 15-34, which is a good
thing considering the characters portrayed in our
production are all within this age range. This means
that our audience will be able to identify with the
characters and possibly enjoy the production more.
5. Shots used
• This will attract our audience as there are a variety of
shots ranging for close-up shots to point-of-view
shots. The point-of-view shots are particularly good
as they help the audience view what it going on
through the protagonists perspective. This gives us
sympathy towards how much the protagonist needs
to do in order to help save the day.
