June 2000- founded the mobile game company ‘Web E&G Korea’
Play games on the mobile phone
After years of pursuing, he launched, through SK Telecom, ‘Finger DDR’, a first ever
graphic-based downloadable mobile game in the market dominated at that time by a text-
style mobile game for Wap platform in Korea.
Afterwards, Web E&G Korea produced a series of hits, to name but two, ‘Blue Marble’ and
the first real-time mobile network game ‘SD World War. This led the company to get
several prizes such as the Best Game of the Month awarded by the Ministry of Culture and
Tourism and the First Prize of Best Digital Contents by the Ministry of Information and
Communication. As a result, Web E&G exceeded the revenue 7 million won! In a time
when mobile game industry was a rather secondary business, Web E&G Korea was
emerging as a leading mobile game developer comparable with Gamevil and Com2uS.

In 2010, Web E&G Korea closed down, facing a number of obstacles. Nevertheless, the key
members got together to overcome those hurdles.

the aim of creating a world-class mobile game company.

Humble beginning
During the college days, after frequenting Gamevil, at 25 he and his friends set up a mobile
game company ‘Funtory’ but had tough time.
First experience with a globalized world!
After leaving the company and struggling with difficulties, he and his mentor, in association
with Disney and Yahoo, launched an online mobile education service for children.
Understand content business.
On seeing Disney launching a global business, he made an exclusive contract of the Belgian
animation character ‘Musti’ for Korea, sold the copyright to Tunibus and OleTV, and carried
out licensing of more than 20 products with CJ.
You get what you pay for!
In cooperation with an off-line distribution specialist of smart devices, he created a high-
quality rucksack brand which made a big success. However, after moving the factory to
China, he went through hard time as a result of low-quality goods manufactured there.
Only people in readiness can clinch a victory.
With advice of his junior (a starting member of Kakao Game), he created a Disney branded
game for Kakao during the same time period of Anipang. Yet, due to not-yet honed skill
and insufficient resources, he failed to develop a high quality game he had sought.
Prosperous future!
Finally, together with Jun yu, he established the current company and is now striving to
develop mobile games.
