This document proposes a research study on breast cancer prevention. It begins with an introduction on breast cancer and the need for prevention strategies. A literature review found modifiable risk factors like diet and exercise and non-modifiable factors like age and genetics. There is a gap in research focusing more on treatment than prevention. The proposed study would use a cohort design to observe women over time and identify relationships between activities and breast cancer risk to inform prevention. Both quantitative and qualitative data would be collected from hospital patients and online participants. The goal is to determine best prevention strategies and curb the rise in breast cancer cases.
