Regarding basic healthcare and education requirements, Brazil has a two-tiered public and private healthcare system and has experienced improvements in health indicators like life expectancy and reduced infant mortality in recent decades. However, poor health still reduces worker productivity and earnings. Overall the analysis evaluates where Brazil excels and needs improvement across various factors important for competitiveness.
