The document discusses the brain and language. It notes that the brain is divided into left and right hemispheres, with each side controlling the opposite side of the body. Language is described as the most important aspect of human life, allowing communication of thoughts, needs, and culture. Brain damage, especially to the left hemisphere, can cause language problems like aphasia. Aphasia is defined as a neurological disorder caused by brain damage that impairs language expression and comprehension through difficulties speaking, understanding speech, and reading/writing. Two main types of aphasia discussed are Broca's aphasia, which affects speech production, and Wernicke's aphasia, where speech is fluent but not coherent.

This presentation is all about man's language and brain development. I created this file as one of my visual aids in our course, Foundation of Language Education.
A presenttion on the Language & the Brain. About the brain and it functions and different parts, how they both communicate and correspond mentally and physically and some disorders as well treatments.

Communication is a fundamental aspect of human interaction. It allows us to express our thoughts, emotions, and desires. However, for some individuals, communication can become a challenge due to a condition known as aphasia. Aphasia is a neurological disorder that affects language abilities, making it difficult to understand and express language effectively. In this blog post, we will delve into the world of aphasia, exploring its causes, types, and the impact it has on individuals and their loved ones.
Role of Speech Therapy in Overcoming Lexical Deficit in Adult Broca’s Aphasia

This is an exploratory study and qualitative in nature. Unit of exploration is ‘Adult Broca’s Aphasic Patients.’ This paper aims to explore the function and integrity of ‘Speech Therapy’ for adult Broca’s aphasia. Aphasia is the after-effect of brain damage, commonly found in left hemisphere which disrupts language faculty. The present study focuses on ‘Lexical’ aspect of language in which an individual faces trouble in processing of words. In Broca’s aphasia affected individual suffers from diminished capability of speaking/communication. To recover such diminished capabilities, speech therapy is utilized. This study intends to investigate the effectiveness of speech therapy that how speech therapy helps to adult Broca’s aphasia to recover their speaking or conversing skills? Participants of the study are ‘Speech therapists.’ Purposeful sampling, particularly Snowball sampling has been undertaken. Semi-structured interviews have been conducted from five speech therapists, which have been analyzed through thematic analysis under the light of ‘Sketch Model’ given by De ruiter and De beer (2013). The Findings of the study suggest that speech therapy may be proved helpful for Broca’s aphasia to recover their communicating capabilities but it requires much time (minimum 6 months). Moreover, recovery depends upon certain factors such as age, level of disorder and willingness.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. What is the brain?
The human brain is divided into two
hemispheres. It is the most complex organ of the
human body. The left hemisphere controls the
right side of the body while the right hemisphere
controls the left side. It is the most complex organ
of the human body.

4. What is language?
Language is the most important aspect in
the life of all human beings. We use language to
express inner thoughts and emotions, make sense
of complex and abstract thought, to learn to
communicate with others, to fulfill our wants and
needs, as well as to establish rules and maintain
our culture. It can be verbal or with signs.
5. What happens to the language if the brain is
damaged?
Physicians noted that brain-injured patients
with damage to the left hemisphere would
lose power of speech and language abilities,
while those with injuries to the right
hemisphere did not lose this ability.
6. Patients with speech problems gave early
researchers the first clues about how the brain
is involved with language. For example; people
who suffer aphasia.
7. What is APHASIA?
Aphasia- a neurological disorder caused by
damage to the portions of the brain that are
responsible for language. Primary signs of the
disorder include difficulty in expressing oneself
when speaking, trouble understanding speech,
and difficulty with reading and writing. Aphasia is
not a disease, but a symptom of brain damage.
8. Types of Aphasia
Broca’s aphasia –This is characterized by labored
speech and certain kinds of word finding
difficulties. It affects a person’s ability to form
sentences with the rules of syntax. Also they depend
exclusively on syntactic structure and they cannot
rely simply on knowledge. It is also known as
agrammatic aphasia.

9. Wernicke’s aphasia- people produce fluent speech
with good intonation and may largely adhere the
rules of syntax but the semantics is incoherent.
