This document analyzes the floral color changes in Boswellia sacra, a tree species found in South Arabia and Northeast Asia. Through microscopic study and field observations from 2006-2010, the study found that the flower's nectariferous ring changes color from yellow to orange to red to brown over 15 hours. This color change corresponds to nectar production and availability, attracting pollinators to flowers with rewards. The color change is caused by anthocyanin pigments and helps the species reproduce by guiding pollinators efficiently.
