- Obesity rates have significantly increased in the United States and Virginia over the past few decades, affecting both adults and children. If current trends continue, children face health risks as adults. - Bon Secours has launched an initiative called "Movin' Mania" to address childhood obesity in central Virginia. The program will educate and empower over 100,000 children and families through schools, online resources, and community events. - "Movin' Mania" seeks partnerships from community leaders, healthcare providers, educators, and families to help children make healthy lifestyle choices and reduce obesity in the region.
