Fazenda Recreio is situated in the Grama Valley, near the city
of Pocos de Calda. Everything on the farm is done by hand,
from the palning of the trees to the picking of the cherries.
The Teixeira de Macedo family has been growing coffee in
the Grama Valley for over five generations. They are a real
example for others. The family feels truly responsible for
their workers and for improving the coffee chain in general.
They built houses, a school, a soccer field and even a church
for the producers on their farm. This church was a special
gift: when the Teixeira de Macedos bought the plantation,
they specifically asked famous Brazilian modernist architect
Oscar Niemeyer design it for their employees! The church is
built on a hill, overlooking the entire valley.
Quality is the most important value for the farm. To ensure
this, the coffee from Recreio is being tracked during the
whole process: from harvest to shipping and storage in
warehouses. The owners of the farm keep innovating to
improvethequalityoftheircoffee.Andwithsuccess:Recreio
competes regularly in the Cup of Excellence and even ended
up several times in the top-5!

Green Buyer Belle about Bombita
“The farms we are working with for this coffee are just
astonishing, producing one of the best
Brazilian coffees I’ve ever tasted!”
The Inga Aponte farm is located in the South of Colombia
at an altitude of 2150 meters. This is where the name
‘Aponte’ derives from. The fertile, volcanic soil enriches
the taste of the coffee cherries, giving it a full body and
sweet taste.
The workers at Inga Aponte are named the Ingas: a
group of Indians, descending from the Incas. The Inga
community is a group of nomads who used to live in the
Peruvian mountains. They were part of a huge project run
by the local and federal government to replace illegal
crops as heroin with several other products, coffee being
one of the main ones.
Year after year, we are stunned by the high quality of the
coffee produced by the Ingas. Inga Aponte gives this blend
a clear and delicate flavour.
