This document compares parts of the human digestive system to common objects and concepts through a series of analogies. The mouth is compared to a door that takes things in. The esophagus leads everywhere just like a main hall. The liver removes bad things like an office removes projects. The large intestine absorbs water just like a computer absorbs information. The stomach digests and kills germs, similar to how a gym keeps energy and kills calories. The pancreas releases insulin when needed, comparable to how a teacher releases information to students. The small intestine passes food along like a hallway leads to a back door. The rectum removes waste from the body just as a back door removes kids from school.
