In Bo, the last three plagues—Locust, Darkness, and Death of the Firstborn—are inflicted upon the Mitsrites. Moshe commands the children of Isra’el concerning the Pesach meal and the laws of the Seder. After the final plague, Pharaoh unconditionally releases the children of Isra’el from his land.

In Va’era, Pharaoh refuses to allow the children of Isra’el to leave Mitsrayim, even after Aharon exhibits miraculous powers, transforming his staff into a serpent. The first seven plagues strike Mitsrayim: Blood, Frogs, Gnats, Flies, Pestilence, Boils, and Fiery Hail.
In Beshalach, Pharaoh pursues the children of Isra’el into the wilderness. The Sea of Suf splits, the children of Isra’el cross the sea while the Mitsrite army is drowned. Moshe and the children of Isra’el sing a special song thanking Elohim for this miracle. The children of Isra’el complain about a lack of food and drink. Elohim sends man and quail for them to eat, and miraculously produces water from a rock. ‘Amalek attacks Isra’el and is soundly defeated.

In Yitro, Moshe’s father-in-law, Yitro, arrives at Isra’el’s encampment and advises them to set up a smoothly functioning legal system. The children of Isra’el experience the divine revelation at Mount Sinai, and hear the Ten Commandments.
Shemot begins the Book of Exodus. Pharaoh issues harsh decrees against the children of Isra’el, beginning decades of Jewish suffering and slavery. Moshe is born and raised in the Mitsrite royal palace. After killing a Mitsrite, Moshe escapes to Midyan and marries. Elohim appears to him in a burning bush and demands that he return to Mitsrayim to redeem the children of Isra’el. Moshe returns to Mitsrayim with the intention of freeing the Jewish people.

What is the Christian's mandate and responsibility in the world? Why are we dilatus in spite of the obvious needs and urgent cries of the world? Why are we Christians blatantly disobedient in spite of our Lord's command? Moses' five objections to obeying God's call provides some clues.
The portion discusses the census of the children of Isra’el, the washbasin of the Mishkan, the anointing oils for the cohanim and sovereigns, the incense offering, and the Shabbat. The Torah then relates the story of the Golden Calf, Elohim’s anger at the Jewish nation, Moshe successfully arguing for Divine forgiveness for the sin, the subsequent breaking of the tablets, and the giving of the second tablets.
Elohim commands the children of Isra’el to build a Mishkan. He provides the exact details of how to construct it, and how to build the different instruments and vessels which were used therein.
Mishpatim details many laws, including laws related to slaves, personal injury, loans, usury, and property damage. The end of the portion speaks of the preparations the children of Isra’el made before receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai.
Vayechi discusses Ya‘akov’s final years. Shortly before his passing, Ya‘akov blesses Yosef’s children as well as his own. A massive funeral procession escorts Ya‘akov’s body to Kena‘an. The reading, and the Book of Genesis, concludes with Yosef’s death.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Bo
1. Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)
1 יהוה said to Moshe, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his
heart and the heart of his servants, in order that I may show
these signs of mine in his midst, 2 and that you may tell in the
hearing of your son and your son’s son the mighty things I
have done in Mitsrayim, and that you tell of my signs which I
have done among them, and you shall know that I am ”.יהוה
2. Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)
3 So Moshe and Aharon came to Pharaoh and said to him, “So
said יהוה Elohim of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to
humble yourself before me? Let my people go, and they will
serve me. 4 For if you refuse to let them go, behold, tomorrow I
am going to bring locusts into your borders.
3. Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)
5 And they shall cover the surface of the land, and no one will be
able to see the land. And they shall eat the surviving remnant,
which remains for you from the hail, and they shall eat all your
trees that grow out of the field.
4. Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)
6 And your houses and the houses of all your servants and the
houses of all the Mitsrites will be filled, which your fathers and
your fathers’ fathers did not see since the day they were on the
earth until this day.’ ” Therewith, he turned and left Pharaoh.
7 Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this one be a
stumbling block to us? Let the people go and they will serve
their Elohim. Don't you yet know that Mitsrayim is destroyed?”
5. Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)
8 Thereupon, Moshe and Aharon were brought back to Pharaoh,
and he said to them, "Go, serve יהוה your Elohim. Who and
who are going?”
9 Moshe said, “With our youth and with our elders we will go, with
our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our
cattle we will go, for it is a festival of the יהוה to us.”
6. Bo 1st Portion (Exo 10)
10 So he Pharaoh said to them, “So may יהוה be with you, just
as I will let you and your little ones out! See that evil is before
your faces. 11 Not so; let the men go now and serve ,יהוה for
that is what you request." And he chased them out from before
Pharaoh.
7. Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)
12 יהוה said to Moshe, “Stretch forth your hand over the land of
Mitsrayim for the locusts, and they will swarm over the land of
Mitsrayim, and they will eat all the vegetation of the land, all
that the hail has left over.”
8. Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)
13 So Moshe stretched forth his rod over the land of Mitsrayim,
and יהוה brought an east wind in the land all that day and all
the night. By the time it was morning, the east wind had
brought the locusts. 14 The locusts went up over all the land of
Mitsrayim and settled within all the territory of Mitsrayim, very
grievous. There had never been so many locusts, nor would
there be so many again.
9. Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)
15 They covered the surface of all the land, so that the land was
darkened. And they ate every plant of the land and all the fruit
of the trees which the hail had left. Thus nothing green was left
on tree or plant of the field through all the land of Mitsrayim.
16 Pharaoh hastened to summon Moshe and Aharon, and he
said, “I have sinned against יהוה your Elohim and against you.
10. Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)
17 But now, forgive now my sin only this time and entreat יהוה
your Elohim, and let him remove from me just this death.”
18 So he Moshe left Pharaoh and prayed. 19 And יהוה changed
the wind to a very strong west wind, which took up the locusts
and blew them into the Sea of Suf. Not one locust was left
within all the territory of Mitsrayim. 20 But יהוה hardened
Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Isra’el go
out.
11. Bo 2nd Portion (Exo 10)
21 יהוה said to Moshe, “Stretch forth your hand toward the
heavens, and there will be darkness over the land of Mitsrayim,
and the darkness will become darker.” 22 So Moshe stretched
forth his hand toward the heavens, and there was thick
darkness over the entire land of Mitsrayim for three days. 23
They did not see each other, and no one rose from his place
for three days, but for all the children of Isra’el there was light
in their dwellings.
12. Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 10)
24 Pharaoh summoned Moshe and said, “Go, serve ,יהוה but
your flocks and your cattle shall be left. Your little ones may
also go with you.”
25 But Moshe said, “You too must give slaughterings and burnt
offerings into our hands, and we will make them for יהוה our
Elohim.
13. Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 10)
26 And also our livestock must go with us; not a single hoof will
remain, for we will take from it to serve יהוה our Elohim, and
we do not know how much we will serve יהוה until we come
there.”
27 יהוה hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was unwilling to let
them out. 28 Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Beware!
You shall no longer see my face, for on the day that you see
my face, you will die.”
14. Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 10-11)
29 Thereupon, Moshe said, “You have spoken rightly; I will no
longer see your face.”
1 יהוה said to Moshe, “I will bring one more plague upon
Pharaoh and upon Mitsrayim; afterwards he will let you go from
here. When he lets you out, he shall completely drive you out
of here.
15. Bo 3rd Portion (Exo 11)
2 Please, speak into the ears of the people, and let them borrow,
each man from his neighbour and each woman from her
neighbour, silver objects and golden objects.” 3 (So יהוה gave
the people favour in the eyes of the Mitsrites; also the man
Moshe himself was highly regarded in in the land of Mitsrayim,
both in the eyes of Pharaoh’s servants and in the eyes of the
people.
16. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 11)
4 Moshe said, “So said :יהוה ‘At the dividing point of the night, I
will go out into the midst of Mitsrayim, 5 and every first-born in
the land of Mitsrayim shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh,
who sits on his throne, to the first-born of the female servant
who is behind the millstones, and every first-born animal. 6
And there shall be a great cry throughout the entire land of
Mitsrayim, such as there never has been and such as there
shall never be again.
17. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 11)
7 But to all the children of Isra’el not one dog shall not even move
its tongue against either man or beast, in order that you shall
know how יהוה makes a distinction between Mitsrayim and
Isra’el. 8 And all these servants of yours shall come down to
me and prostrate themselves to me, saying, ‘Get out, you and
all the people who are at your feet!’ And afterwards I shall go
out.” Then he Moshe exited from Pharaoh with burning anger.
18. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 11)
9 יהוה said to Moshe, “Pharaoh will not heed you, in order to
multiply my wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.” 10 Moshe and
Aharon had performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but
יהוה hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children
of Isra’el out of his land.
19. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
1 יהוה spoke to Moshe and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim,
saying, 2 “This month shall be to you the head of the months;
to you it shall be the first of the months of the year. 3 Speak to
the entire congregation of Isra’el, saying, ‘On the tenth of this
month, let each one take a lamb for each parental house, a
lamb for each household.
20. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
4 But if the household is too small for the lamb, then he and his
neighbour who is nearest to his house shall take one according
to the number of the beings, each one according to one’s need
to eat, shall you be counted for the lamb. 5 You shall have a
perfect male lamb in its first year; you may take it either from
the sheep or from the goats.
21. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
6 And you shall keep it for inspection until the fourteenth day of
this month, and the entire assembly of the congregation of
Isra’el shall kill it in the afternoon. 7 And they shall take some
of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel,
on the houses in which they will eat it. 8 And on this night, they
shall eat the flesh, roasted over the fire, and matzah; with
maror they shall eat it.
22. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
9 You shall not eat it raw or boiled in water, except roasted over
the fire its head with its legs and with its innards. 10 And you
shall not leave over any of it until morning, and whatever is left
over of it until morning, you must burn in fire. 11 And this is
how you shall eat it: your loins girded, your sandals on your
feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste; it
is the Pesach [Passover] to .יהוה
23. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
12 “I shall pass through the land of Mitsrayim on this night, and I
shall smite every first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, both man
and beast. I am ,יהוה and upon all the gods of Mitsrayim shall I
execute judgments. 13 And the blood shall be for you for a sign
upon the houses where you will be, and I will see the blood and
pass over [Hebrew: pasach] you, and there will be no plague to
destroy you when I smite the people of the land of Mitsrayim.
24. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
14 “And this day shall be for you as a remembrance, and you
shall observe it as a festival for יהוה throughout your
generations, you shall celebrate it as an everlasting ordinance.
15 For seven days you shall eat matzah, but on the preceding
day you shall clear away all leaven from your houses, for
whoever eats hametz [leavened bread] from the first day until
the seventh day that being shall be cut off from Israel.
25. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
16 And on the first day there shall be a set-apart gathering, and
on the seventh day you shall have a set-apart gathering. No
work may be done on them, but what is eaten by any being
that alone may be performed for you.
26. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
17 And you shall guard the Festival of Matzah, for on this very
day I brought your divisions out of the land of Mitsrayim. And
you shall guard this day throughout your generations, as an
everlasting ordinance. 18 In the first month, on the fourteenth
day of the month in the evening, you shall eat matzah, until the
twenty-first day of the month in the evening.
27. Bo 4th Portion (Exo 12)
19 For seven days, leavening shall not be found in your houses,
for whoever eats hametz that being shall be cut off from the
congregation of Isra’el, both among the strangers and the
native-born of the land. 20 You shall not eat any hametz;
throughout all your dwellings you shall eat matzah.”
28. Bo 5th Portion (Exo 12)
21 Moshe summoned all the elders of Isra’el and said to them,
“Draw forth or buy for yourselves sheep for your clans and
slaughter the Pesach lamb. 22 And you shall take a bunch of
hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and you shall
extend to the lintel and to the two doorposts the blood that is in
the basin, and you shall not go out, any man from the door of
his house until morning.
29. Bo 5th Portion (Exo 12)
23 יהוה shall pass to smite the Mitsrites, and he shall see the
blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and יהוה shall
pass over the door, and he will not allow the destroyer to enter
your houses to smite you.
24 “And you shall guard this word as a law for you and for your
sons forever.
30. Bo 5th Portion (Exo 12)
25 And it shall come to pass when you enter the land that יהוה
will give you, as he promised, that you shall guard this service.
26 And it shall come to pass if your children say to you, ‘What
is this service to you?’
31. Bo 5th Portion (Exo 12)
27 you shall say, ‘It is the Pesach [Passover] to ,יהוה for he
passed over the houses of the children of Isra’el in Mitsrayim
when he smote the Mitsrites and delivered our households.’ ”
And the people kneeled and prostrated themselves. 28 So the
children of Isra’el went and did; as יהוה commanded Moshe
and Aharon, so they did.
32. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
29 It came to pass at midnight, and יהוה smote all the first-born
in the land of Mitsrayim, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sat
on his throne, to the firstborn of the captive, who was in the
dungeon, and all first-born animal. 30 Pharaoh arose in the
night, he and all his servants and all the Mitsrites, and there
was a great wailing in Mitsrayim, for there was not a house
where there was not one dead.
33. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
31 So he called for Moshe and Aharon at night, and said, “Get
up! And go out from among my people, both you and the
children of Isra’el! And go, serve יהוה as you have said. 32
Take your flocks and also your herds, as you have said, and
go. And also bless me.”
33 The Mitsrites urged the people to hasten to send them out of
the land, for they said, “We shall all be dead!”
34. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, their
kneading bowls wrapped in the clothing on their shoulders. 35
And the children of Isra’el did according to the word of Moshe
and they asked from the Mitsrites objects of silver and objects
of gold and clothing. 36 יהוה had given the people favour in
the eyes of the Mitsrites, and they gave them such things as
they required. And they plundered the Mitsrites.
35. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
37 The children of Isra’el journeyed from Ra‘amses to Sukkot,
about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, besides the
little ones. 38 And also, a mixed multitude went up with them,
and flocks and cattle, even very much livestock.
36. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
39 They baked the dough that they had brought out of Mitsrayim
as matzah cakes, for it had not leavened, for they were driven
out of Mitsrayim, and they could not tarry, and also, they had
not made provisions for themselves.
40 And the sojourn of the children of Isra’el, that they lived in
Mitsrayim, was four hundred and thirty years.
37. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
41 It came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years,
and it came to pass in that very day, that all the divisions of
יהוה went out of the land of Mitsrayim. 42 It is a night of
anticipation for ,יהוה to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim;
this night is ’יהוהs, guarding all the children of Isra’el
throughout their generations.
38. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
43 יהוה said to Moshe and Aharon, “This is the law of the Pesach
meal:
“No estranged one may eat of it. 44 And every man’s servant
bought for his silver you shall circumcise him; then he will be
permitted to eat of it. 45 A sojourner and a hired servant may
not eat of it.
39. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
46 “It must be eaten in one house; you shall not take any of the
flesh out of the house to the outside, neither shall you break
any of its bones. 47 The entire congregation of Isra’el must
perform it.
48 “And should a stranger reside with you, he shall perform the
Pesach sacrifice to .יהוה All his males shall be circumcised,
and then he may approach to perform it, and he shall be like
the native of the land. But no uncircumcised male may eat of it.
40. Bo 6th Portion (Exo 12)
49 There shall be one Torah for the native-born and for the
stranger who sojourns in your midst.”
50 All the children of Isra’el did as יהוה had commanded Moshe
and Aharon, so they did. 51 It came to pass on that very day,
that יהוה brought the children of Isra’el out of the land of
Mitsrayim with their divisions.
41. Bo 7th Portion (Exo 13)
1 יהוה spoke to Moshe, saying, 2 “Consecrate to me every first-
born, the first offspring of every womb among the children of
Isra’el both of man and beast; it is mine.”
3 Moshe said to the people, “Remember this day, when you went
out of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery, for with a mighty
hand, יהוה brought you out from this place. And no hametz
shall be eaten. 4 Today, in the month of Aviv, you are going out.
42. Bo 7th Portion (Exo 13)
5 And it shall come to pass when יהוה brings you into the land of
the Kena’ani, the Hitti, the Emori, the Hivi and the Y’vusi—
which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with
milk and honey—and you shall keep this service in this month:
6 For seven days you shall eat matzah and on the seventh day,
there shall be a festival to .יהוה
43. Bo 7th Portion (Exo 13)
7 Matzah shall be eaten during the seven days; and no hametz
shall be seen among you, nor shall any yeast be seen among
you throughout all of your borders. 8 And you shall inform your
son on that day, saying, ‘This is done because of that which
יהוה did for me when I came out of Mitsrayim.’
44. Bo 7th Portion (Exo 13)
9 And it shall be for a sign to you on your hand and as a reminder
on your forehead that the Torah of יהוה shall be in your mouth.
For with a strong hand יהוה brought you out of Mitsrayim. 10
You shall therefore guard this law at its appointed time, from
year to year.
45. Bo 7th Portion (Exo 13)
11 “And it shall come to pass when יהוה brings you into the land
of the Kena’ani, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and
gives it to you, 12 you shall pass over to יהוה the first offspring
of every womb, and every first-born that opens the womb of an
animal which will be yours. The males shall be ’יהוהs.
46. Bo 7th Portion-Maftir (Exo 13)
13 And every first-born donkey you shall ransom with a lamb, but
if you do not ransom it, you shall break its neck. And every first-
born of man among your sons, you shall ransom.
14 “And it shall come to pass if your son asks you in the future,
saying, ‘What is this?’ you shall say to him, ‘With a mighty hand
did יהוה take us out of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage.
47. Bo Maftir (Exo 13)
15 And it came to pass when Pharaoh was too stubborn to let us
out, יהוה killed every first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, both
the first-born of man and the first-born of beast. Therefore, I
slaughter for a sacrifice all males that open the womb, and
every first-born of my sons I will ransom.’ 16 And it shall be for
a sign upon your hand and for frontlets between your eyes, for
with a mighty hand did יהוה take us out of Mitsrayim.”
