This document provides instructions for adding a blog to a content area in several steps: creating the content area; adding an interactive blog tool; providing settings to link to a blogs page; creating the blog; and posting a blog entry. The user gives the content area and blog a name and instructions, provides settings, and clicks submit or post at each step to successfully add an interactive blog that can be viewed and added to by students.

Click the add button (+)
Click Create Content Area ( if a relevant content area doesn’t exist yet)

Give the content area a name
Make it available to the users
Click Submit

The content area is displayed
Click Add Interactive Tool
Click Blog

Select the radio button Link to the Blogs Page
Click Next

Provide a name for the blog link
Provide the instructions for the blog link

Provide the necessary settings for the blog link
Click Submit

The blog link is created successfully

Click Create Blog

Provide the name and instructions for the blog

Provide the settings for the blog
Click Submit

Click the link to the newly created blog

Click Create Blog Entry

Provide title for the entry
Type the message
Click Post Entry

Click the Edit Mode button to the Off position
The blog can be viewed as a student
