Fact or Fiction – You Can Manage All Your Supplier Information, Transactions ...Tradeshift
Five or six years ago this would have been fiction hands down, and for many companies now, it might as well be. Using multiple disconnected systems, or manual methods, to manage suppliers and all their information, including invoices, purchase orders, and supply chain risk has been the norm. Doing things this way created a bevy of challenges and limitations—information silos, exposure to risk and overall lack of visibility into supplier relationships.
What if you could onboard your suppliers once for procure-to-pay transactions, and in the same place manage supplier master data, plus have access to real-time information helping you to mitigate your supply chain risk?
This webinar with Tradeshift and Riskmethods discusses how to:
Connect to all your suppliers and from one place
Consolidate all supplier related processes and information
Protect your organization from supply chain disruptions and risky suppliers
Get transparency into potential risks across your supply chain
Actually achieve high adoption among internal users and suppliers.
Learn the Supply Chain Definition and find out why it is critical to an organization's success. A supply chain is a system of organizations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in moving a product or service from supplier to customer.

Ultriva, a supply chain management software company, implemented a demand driven manufacturing model by providing full visibility, scheduling, and sequencing of production of customer orders at the cell level for a manufacturing plant. Previously it took ten days before the order reached the factory floor; orders were scheduled on a weekly basis, causing an overall lead time of fifteen days. Now it is down to two.

How implementing lean technologies into your supply chain can reduce lead times from 15 days to less than two. In the past, manufacturing was vertically integrated and the suppliers were located within a short radius. Manufacturing today is less integrated and the suppliers are global. Only through supplier collaboration can information be controlled and automatically computed.

Drivers of supply chain transformation (why), characteristics of evolving supply chains as adaptive supply networks (what), and (how) principles to accelerate the transformation.
Supply chain management focuses on managing the flow of goods and information from raw materials to end customers. It encompasses all activities from procurement to production to delivery. The goal is to attain synchronization across the supply chain to be responsive to customers while lowering costs. Information technology plays a key role in supply chain management by enabling real-time communication and data sharing between suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers. This allows for faster fulfillment of customer demand.
Consumer driven supply chain with ONE networkNicole Walker
Why Every Company in the Value Chain Should Care About the End-Consumer
One Network can help your company become consumer-driven.
Why is that important?
Let’s begin with today’s consumer. There’s you, me, and about 7 billion others...
Today’s consumers want the right price, the best quality, and they want it now. What does that mean for your business?
Consider that your success - or failure - eventually depends on whether your end consumers are satisfied. This is true for all companies, in every industry, delivering every kind of product or service. They all exist to eventually serve an end consumer.
Shouldn’t your company be doing all of the right things to ensure success – and the consumer’s satisfaction?
The problem is, you've inherited a tangled mess of disconnected software system that focus on your internal processes and immediate trading partners. This is actually IGNORING the end consumer!

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.
These lecture slides, by Dr Sidra Arshad, offer a quick overview of the physiological basis of a normal electrocardiogram.
Learning objectives:
1. Define an electrocardiogram (ECG) and electrocardiography
2. Describe how dipoles generated by the heart produce the waveforms of the ECG
3. Describe the components of a normal electrocardiogram of a typical bipolar lead (limb II)
4. Differentiate between intervals and segments
5. Enlist some common indications for obtaining an ECG
6. Describe the flow of current around the heart during the cardiac cycle
7. Discuss the placement and polarity of the leads of electrocardiograph
8. Describe the normal electrocardiograms recorded from the limb leads and explain the physiological basis of the different records that are obtained
9. Define mean electrical vector (axis) of the heart and give the normal range
10. Define the mean QRS vector
11. Describe the axes of leads (hexagonal reference system)
12. Comprehend the vectorial analysis of the normal ECG
13. Determine the mean electrical axis of the ventricular QRS and appreciate the mean axis deviation
14. Explain the concepts of current of injury, J point, and their significance

Companies that bring new products to market faster do better in
highly competitive industries. However, with increasingly complex
and multi-national regulatory environments that task becomes
harder as more input and feedback must be coordinated from
various sources to create, track and communicate changes.
Companies are adopting the latest technologies and tools for
proofing procedures to ensure scheduling, copyrighting, and
updates are dynamic and adjust frequently to meet the growing
demands of the marketplace and the product.

COST STRATEGY
Sustainable
Business
Businesses work with fewer strategic suppliers in
smarter ways to lower costs and thereby obtain
cash to fund growth. Suppliers benefit from
additional volumes stemming from that growth.
An example of sustainable,
mutual symbiosis is the
relationship between the
clownfish that dwell among
the tentacles of Ritteri sea
anemones. The territorial fish
protects the anemone from
anemone-eating fish, and in
turn the stinging tentacles
of the anemone protect the
clownfish from its predators.

DELIVERY METHODS
On-demand, remote warehousing,
and freight optimization methods
extend your supply chain into your
operations and ensures your
production lines never stop.
MULTI-YEAR CONTRACTS
Use longer terms to lock in future
pricing for budget stability.
PRODUCT REENGINEERING
Use alternative or lighter papers,
change color configurations (PMS colors
to 4-color process) and standardize
specifications across all product lines
to yield significant savings.
QUALITY SYSTEMS
The latest tech automatically inspects
every sheet so you don’t have to. This
leads to further reductions in your
processes downstream such
as “lot skipping."
FEWER VENDORS
Working smarter with key partners
leverages purchasing power (volume
incentives) and motivates to bring
you sustainable saving ideas.
EARLY PAYMENTS
Use faster payments to achieve
further discounts. Most suppliers
have programs to reduce their
overall payment cycle time to
access working capital.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS
Optimizing processes, such as
forecasting and production,
yield significant savings in the
areas of attributes/tolerances,
obsolescence and freight.
