I Digital Social Science Lab (DSSL) på Det Samfundsvidenskabelige Fakultetsbibliotek har man skabt en åben platform der via undervisning og events skal bygge bro mellem studier, forskning og læring og digitale metoder. En af kernetankerne bag DSSL er, at biblioteket ikke skal være eksperten i alle henseender, men i højere grad facilitere, at studerende, forskere og andre interessenter mødes og arbejder sammen, udveksler ideer og lærer af hinanden.

Tirsdag morgen skal jeg lave oplæg i Nakskov på mit fortsatte roadshow om ”Folkebibliotekerne i Vidensamfundet”. Lolland Kommune har generelt store udfordringer af demografisk karakter.
I forhold til bibliotekerne har de holdt fast i en struktur med 8 afdelinger, heraf 2 små ø-filialer. Så der er jo nok en løbende overvejelse om hvordan den fremtidige struktur skal være. I forhold til borgerservice findes det nu kun i Nakskov og Maribo, mens det fysisk er nedlagt i de øvrige 5 "gamle" kommuner.

I dag går turen til Hedensted. I Hedensted Kommune påbegynder de en proces med at skabe en ny bibliotekspolitik, som en vigtig del af kulturpolitikken. Jeg har fået lov at være med og komme med et input til opstarten, hvilket jeg glæder mig til.
Det seneste år har jeg været rundt i landet til en del biblioteker og kulturudvalg, for at diskutere udviklingen inden for landets store lærings- og kulturinstitution – bibliotekerne.
Mine PowerPoint bygger på samme grundlag, men forandrer sig løbende ud fra den samfundsmæssige udvikling og det lokale udgangspunkt
Mit udgangspunkt er den udvikling jeg ser i de kommende 24 måneder og de udfordringer det skaber for bibliotekerne – og så prøver jeg at sætte det i en lokal(politisk) kontekst.
Det synes jeg er spændende og det giver mig rigtig mange input fra de mange forskellige udviklinger der er i gang ude i landet. Mange steder strammer økonomien til og det er trist, at kulturområdet så ofte står for skud, da kulturen jo netop er det kit der binder os sammen og skaber udvikling. På den anden side kan jeg jo så også høre, at man i bibliotekerne er ekstremt omstillingsparate og stadig udvikler nye måder at komme borgenes behov i møde på.
I Fredericia bibliotek har de haft et forløb kaldet Morgenmadsuniversitetet i 2007 under overskriften Rum i forandring – rammer for fællesskab. Det var dengang en mental optakt til den store ombygning på biblioteker, som blev færdiggjort i sommeren
I dette efterår gentager de forløbet med Morgenmadsuniversitetet, denne gang under overskriften Fra transaktion til relation. Den sætning (hentet fra biblioteksstyrelsens strategi) bruger de i mange sammenhænge, og ved at italesætte den i hverdagen kan det få den enkelte medarbejder til at forholde sig til de ændringer, man løbende er en del af. Det handler om løbende at vi tænker og taler om, hvad det konkret betyder for os i praksis, i en ellers travl hverdag.
I dag får jeg så lov at komme med en morgenmadsforelæsning…..så jeg har peppet mit show om udfordringerne de næste 24 måneder op.
Oodi is a new public library and urban living room located in Helsinki, Finland that opened in 2018. It cost 98 million euros to construct and covers 10,000 square meters. Oodi aims to be an open, non-commercial space that provides skills and experiences for residents through partnerships and collaboration. It has three floors dedicated to events, activities, and a book collection. In its first year, Oodi had over 2.7 million visits and hosted over 1,000 public events. It has been an international success, winning awards and hosting many visitors from abroad.
