• Worked on Bizlink which enables managed file transfer and worked on the mainframes on the
jobs to use for the communication such as pull push sweep etc.
These are the few of top notch tasks that were undertaken
 Web application in Sterling Integrator.
 Developed a web application and deployed in Sterling Integrator server for
multi-purpose. It covers various tabs like System health, Reporting, Support
Activities and Special initiatives. It has helped management to keep an eye on
transactions going through the system for Black Friday.
 Bulk BP restart in Sterling Integrator.
 An adhoc business process was developed to restart more than 1 BP in single
instant. With this 1000 BPs can be restarted within a minute.
 Master Script in Unix to decide monitoring scripts to be active/inactive
 Sterling Integrator in UNIX server needs some monitoring scripts to keep a eye
on application behavior for effective monitoring. To control all the monitoring
scripts in a single shot is a good practice to avoid any manual faults. For that a
master script was designed to act as a switch to control monitoring scripts to be
activate/deactivate. This helps better during application maintenance time.
 Sterling Integrator Map development.
 Developed & enhanced the existing MAPs in SI according to the Business
requirements. Created them in generic way with extended and standard rules
for effective functionality.
 Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) Upgrade to Sterling Integrator (SI).
 Involved in identifying the services & adapter which can be adapt for the

5. upgrade and made some changes in the existing Business Process. Exported
from the old GIS system to new SI application and involved in coordination with
downstream application during validation.
 Perimeter Status monitoring functionality
 Identified a best way to monitor PS status and implemented. The alert
mechanism is very interactive and dynamic one which will understand the
situation to alert support team or need to be calm.
 Use of Mailbox in SI transfers to partner.
 This was a new requirement from customer, as they are connecting THD
network and pulling the files from SI. So, created new Business Process for
placing files in the specific mailbox where customer can able to pull them.
 Business Process Usage failures reduced.
 Reduced unnecessary failures filled up in the Business Process Usage. Identified
as many failures were Schedule_BPs. Changed the Schedule_BP configure not to
file if files are not available and any process is already running.
 Compress Script
 In Unix, we must be very cautious on file system. For that a script was developed
to check the file system to make sure no directory is running under low memory
usage. New script will compress the old log files and move them to TSM server.
With this we have avoided the manual interventions.
 Distribution Centre Purchase Order Acknowledgment
 This is in Mainframe Gentran, as THD is a big retailer, needs Distribution Centres
to store and move the goods. To track the orders in DC they required Purchase
Order details. We are responsible in sending the PO to DC. To make sure on the
transfers, designed a JCL in mainframes to track the unacknowledged POs then
reported to DC team. By automating this process, three teams manual work
reduced.
 IBM Gentran - Process Improvement in avoid unnecessary transaction failures status in
tracking tables.
 Tracking tables are very important for B2B to check the transactions. Due to
some timing issues the tracking tables were updating as failures even the
documents/messages processed to & fro THD. Figure out the root cause and
fixed the problem for better tracking. Business Team was happy with this fix.
