emand for organic food
is rising day by day. The
reason is simple, everyone
wants to eat healthy food and
stay fir for long. Regular or we
can say farming practices since
the last three decades have been
mainly dependent on chemical
fertilizers and pesticides.
Chemicals definitely have a pace
of growing the crops but lacks
in quality. The public is aware of
organic food and even doctors
and physicians around the globe
are recommending to have
healthy food items to stay fit and
healthy.
In our cover story, we have
Mr. Bhushan S Chhajed,
Founder, Chairman & MD,
Khetiwalo Organics and Agro
Technologies Private Limited.
The company has 22 years of
vast experience in research and
development in sustainable
and easy organic treatment in
the agriculture industry. There’s
a lot more to know and read
about Khetiwalo Organics
inside.
SwiftNLift magazine is not
just a print or digital platform
anymore but, everything we do
derives from its long-standing
character, approach and
quality – while we continue to
produce the print publication
with as much dedication as
ever.
It’s always a pleasure to
bring this magazine to all the
readers. The real strength of
any magazine is its audience;
without their support, nothing
would have been possible. I am
encouraged by the feedback
received from the readers and
the institutions/companies
which are in association with
our magazine.

Share about your journey
from the commencement
Looking at the challenging
situation of Indian farmers
company directors have decided
in the year 2018 to serve in a new
way which will not only support
farmers to improve profits but
also will surely clear their major
confusions about traditional
farming practices.
In the same direction, company
directors had started their
tough journey by visiting many
farmers of Maharashtra and had
started to let understand them
about organic farming practice
with innovative technology viz.
Gluconate technology. But due
to the previous bad experiences,
it was difficult for farmers to
understand and accept the
concept.
By moving throughout the
length & breadth of Maharashtra
and meeting more than 500
farmers’ company directors
have decided to offer a free
demo. Also, they had tried to
monitor the comparative results
against traditional practices.
They succeeded to deliver
better performance and in
turn convince the
farmers.
Parallelly company
had also received
the no-objection
certificate for sales
& marketing of
organic produce
in Maharashtra
from Hon.
Commissioner of
Agriculture from
Pune. With the help
of both aspects i.e.
results & noc, the
company started to
visit many dealers
after its inception
as a Private Limited
company in Feb
2019 and succeeded
to convince them
about the golden
opportunity to
construct their
future by aligning themselves
with the upcoming concept
of Organic India promoted by
our Hon. Prime Minister Mr
Narendra Modiji.
India wants sustainable,
profitable & easy farming
practices. Company directors
made themselves align with the
same bright & futuristic concept
of organic farming. Company has
decided to explore its network by
appointing distributors, dealers
& retailers, connecting with
Farmer Producer Companies
(FPCs) throughout Maharashtra
to form a robust structure.
How do you manage
the promotion of your
firm over social media
outreach and email
campaigns?
Constant digital marketing
through Facebook, Linked-
In, tele calling to farmers, lead
generation & handing over
concerned dealers helped us a
lot.
What do you think
about the expansion
of KHETIWALO
ORGANICS AND AGRO
TECHNOLOGIES
PRIVATE LIMITED?
We are aspiring to reach 100000
farmers by 2025. We can expand
the network anywhere in the
world. The company is willing
to establish itself as a worldwide
trusted brand. We will definitely
achieve Rs. 100Crore in 2025-26.
How do you try to stay
up-to-date on current
needs?
By conducting the ground level
survey, training, digital media.
What are your company’s
actions to keep your
business running during
this tough time?
We have propelled our activities
by 10 times – Tie-up with Akhil
Maharashtra Sarpanch Parishad
for market penetration. We tried
every now n then to maintain
the rapport with our existing
business partners.
Were there any unusual
weather conditions
during the growing or
harvesting period, e.g.,
drought, heavy rains,
fog or humidity? What
precautions will you
suggest?
We are able to deliver the range
of the product which helps
to sustain the crop in abiotic
stress conditions. They improve
the roots and immune system
of soil & plant as well. So, use
Dharti Shakti, Krushi Amrut,
Krushi Bahar, Nisarg, Missile as
instructed on our website.
What is your guidance
for young entrepreneurs?

Mr. Rishi Agarwal and Mr. Ayush Sharma co-
founded Solitary Farm Planet (SFP), a social
company. The two started the business with the
same goal in mind: to help farmers and their farming
practices improve and become more organic. SFP
has been attempting to improve farmer wellbeing
in recent years by replacing commercial fertilizers
and pesticides with organic manures and vitamins.
The products provided by SFP are organically
produced by farmers in Odisha and Sikkim and are
even marked with their location. The products are
neatly packed and supplied to the consumer after a
thorough inspection.
SFP took the initiative to buy and distribute
items in response to the necessity for immediate
remuneration in farming. SPF not only offered
training but also certified the farmers for harvest
and assisted in the storage and distribution of the
produce. SFP collaborates with a variety of self-
help and farmer groups to supply natural farming
goods that yield the highest quality crop for the least
amount of money.
The Speciality of their products
Their products are:
Non-GMO
All of their products are grown in a natural, non-
genetically modified manner, as nature intended.
Sourced in an ethical manner
They work with farmers in the most ethical and
fairways possible, while also giving back to the
communities.
Natural & Organic
Without the use of chemicals or synthetic pesticides,
all ingredients are cultivated using only natural
fertilizers.
Facilities of the highest caliber
All of their goods are processed in
state-of-the-art facilities with cutting-edge
technology and sophisticated equipment, assuring

the highest standards of food safety
compliance.
Their Mission
SFP aims to close the gap between the utility of
organic products and the needs of consumers by
connecting farmers directly to consumers with
minimal costs on our end so that consumers get the
best quality spices from certified organic sources,
grown without the use of synthetic or bioengineered
fertilizers, and farmers get their fair share of the
profits.
Their Vision
Theirultimategoalistoprovidehighquality,delicious
tasting, healthy ingredients to their customers at the
best possible price while also assisting farmers by
promoting natural or organic farming in various
locations, providing fully certified organic products,
receiving a fair share for tribal farmers, and living a
conscious lifestyle with pure food products.
CA Ayush Sharma, Founder
Ayush began his career as a socialpreneur to
increase farmers’ income and bring them closer to
the value chain’s consumers. As a result, Solitary
Farm Planet, a social venture, was founded. SFP’s
goal is to establish market linkages and promote
organic farming as one of its key values. Before
this, he worked at Investec Capital as a research
associate covering cement, plastic, metals, and mid-
caps. Before joining Investec, he was a member of
GE’s financial management program (leadership
program) and worked in two different businesses
that required financial planning and analysis. He is
a Chartered Accountant who achieved an All India
Rank of 24 in the CA Final in November 2015. He
spent two years as an articled student with Grant
Thornton in Assurance and one year with GE in
financial planning and analysis. He is a Commerce
graduate of Hindu College, University of Delhi, and
a Bishop Cotton Boys’ School alumnus.
He’s always been a fantastic team player, and I’m
eager to learn from him. My key strengths are
self-motivation, determination, and focus. He is
passionate about financial markets and hopes to
work in the capital markets in the future. He is
pursuing the CFA program at the CFA Institute in
Charlottesville, Virginia, and I am currently a level

SEPTEMBER 2021 SwiftNLift
Wheat grains are typically oval, however, they can
range from virtually spherical to long, thin, and
flattened shapes depending on the kind of wheat.
The grain is generally 5 to 9 mm long, weighs 35 to
50 mg, and has a crease down one side where it was
once attached to the wheat blossom. The wheat grain
comprises 2-3 percent germ, 13-17 percent bran,
and 80-85 percent mealy endosperm (all dry matter
components) (Sramkova et al. 2009).
Wheat milling businesses provide byproducts that are
used in animal feed, bio-ethanol production, succinic
acid manufacturing, as a nutritious additive in baked
goods, cosmetics, meat substitutes, nutraceutical/
pharmaceutical products, and a variety of other
applications. As a consequence, value addition is
any step in the manufacturing process that enhances
the product for the customer and increases the net
worth of the final product; these byproducts might
be employed for value addition. Wheat germ is the
portion of the wheat kernel that contains the greatest
vitamins and minerals. The germ is, in reality,
the embryo of the wheat plant. This embryo will
ultimately feed the budding wheat plant, which is
why it contains so many beneficial nutrients.
By-products of Wheat
1. All-Purpose Flour
It is made from hard wheat crushed endosperm or
a mixture of hard and soft wheat kernels. Iron and
B-vitamins (thiamine, niacin, and riboflavin) are
added to enriched all-purpose flour in levels equal to
By-Products of Wheat
and their Benefits

or more than whole wheat flour color. Chlorine also
improves the quality of baked goods by “maturing”
or oxidizing the flour, which is useful for making
cakes and cookies. The bleaching chemicals react
without leaving any hazardous residues or destroying
nutrients. Unbleached all-purpose flour is off-white
and is bleached by oxygen in the air throughout the
aging process. Bleached and unbleached flour are
nutritionally equal.
2.	Semolina/Rava
Semolina is a coarse, gritty flour that is generally
produced from durum wheat. It is made up of the
grain’s nutritious heart (endosperm), which is left
behind after milling when the fine flour is sorted.
Semolina is made from durum wheat middlings
that is coarsely cleaned and used to make couscous,
pasta, and sweet puddings. The term semolina is
also used to refer to coarse middlings from different
wheat types, as well as other grains. Bread produced
with durum wheat semolina flour has the following
characteristics:
■ The Crumb structure is fine and consistent.
■ Palatable flavor
■ Origin and long shelf life
Depending on the quality of the wheat, it can range in
color from yellow to white. In the United States and
other countries, semolina is mostly used to produce
pasta, cereals, and sweets, but in India, it is utilized
to prepare both savory and sweet meals. Upma and
Rava Idli are two of the most basic and well-known
Indian meals made using rava.
3. Wheat Bran
Wheat bran is a waste product of the wheat milling
process. It generally makes up 14–19% of the overall
grain weight. Wheat bran contains 46 percent non-
starch polysaccharides, including arabinoxylan
(70 percent), cellulose (24 percent), and beta-
glucan (6 percent), as well as tiny quantities of
glucoglucomannan and arabinogalactan, making
it a good source of dietary fiber. Wheat and oats,
for example, have a hard outer shell. When they’re
processed,thislayerformsbran,whichisabyproduct.
Similarly, bran is obtained when wheat is processed
to produce wheat flour. This bran is high in nutrients
and has a variety of health advantages. Wheat bran
is high in protein, magnesium, manganese, niacin,
phosphorus, zinc, and vitamin B6, as well as being
low in fat, cholesterol-free, sugar-free, and sodium-
free. Wheat bran is one of the greatest natural
sources of dietary fiber. It can aid in the maintenance
of regular bowel function and the relief of periodic
constipation, such as that induced by dietary changes
or travel. Celiac disease sufferers should avoid wheat
bran, as they should avoid all wheat sources.
4. Whole Wheat Flour
It is flour made from whole wheat berry. It’s made
up of coarsely crushed bran and germ, as well as
endosperm. Because the addition of bran decreases
the gluten proportion in the flour mix, whole wheat
loaves are often heavier than white flour bread. Whole
wheat flour has more trace minerals and dietary fiber
than white flour and is higher in B vitamins, vitamin
E, and protein. Whole wheat flour does not need to
be enhanced like white flour since it has so many
nutrients. To boost the gluten proportion in most
recipes, whole wheat flour can be combined half
and half with white flour. Whole wheat flour is also
known as graham flour.
Some other byproducts of wheat include:
■ Bread flour
■ Self-rising flour
■ Cake flour
■ Pastry flour
■ Gluten flour
■ Durum flour

The Covid 19 Situation served as inspiration for this
piece. When the world was fighting the Covid 19
pandemic, India had the largest number of persons
infected with the virus daily for several days. In
such a context, several international and national
health organizations, including the World Health
Organization, have repeatedly emphasized the need
for people to maintain robust immunity as one
of the most critical ways to prevent the Covid19
epidemic. Apart from the upper class in India, one
of the major causes of low immunity, health, and
nutritional condition among people of all income
classes was their refusal to use organic and herbal
goods in their daily life. Many research has shown
that there are two basic explanations behind this.
24 SEPTEMBER 2021 SwiftNLift
ER. Aditya Shriwastav,
Managing Director & CEO
The first reason is that organic and herbal items are
only available in a few chosen shops or shopping
centers, and the second is that the organic and herbal
products that are available are extremely expensive
for a variety of reasons.
Organic Emart began its operations with a complete
plan that included direct access to all types of
high-purity, certified organic, and herbal products
in India from the producer to the consumer at no
additional cost.

A)	Azo-Plus
Azo-PLUS is a high-density formulation of Azospirillum
spp. associative bacteria. In collaboration with plant
roots, microorganisms digest atmospheric nitrogen
for crop growth. Nitrogen is one of the most critical
nutrients for agricultural, plantation, and other effective
production.
The following are some of the benefits of utilizing
Azo-plus:
	High capacity for nitrogen fixation (up to 30 kg/ha).
	Hormones are produced to help plants grow faster
(root and shoot).
	Crop yield increases.

Non-legumes such as grains, millets, sugarcane,
vegetables, rubber, spices, medicinal and fragrant
plants, and others are suitable.
Application:
Soil application; seed treatment; seedling therapy
B)	Bio-plus
Bio-PLUS is a proprietary blend of free-living bacteria
from the Azotobacter genus.
The following are some of the benefits of using Bio-
plus:
■ Fixes atmospheric nitrogen (20 to 30 kg/ha) for plant
growth and development.
■ To support healthy growth, it produces vitamins,
nicotinic acid, pantothenic acid, biotin, hetroauxins,
and gibberellins.
■ Antibiotics and fungistatic are produced for effective
soil cleaning against diseases.

Application:
Treatment of seeds
C)	Grow-Plus
Grow-PLUS is a microbe-based product that helps
crops to solubilize a vital micronutrient called Zinc.
Zinc is required by practically all crops, and a lack
of it reduces the nutritious value of output. Zinc
deficiency affects about half of all cultivable land used
for grain production. Khaira in paddy is one of the
most common illnesses caused by zinc deficiency;
oftentimes there are no obvious symptoms, but yield
loss can be as high as 40%.
The following are some of the benefits of utilizing
Grow-plus:
■ Even though just a little amount is necessary. The
microbes in Grow-Plus solubilize the zinc that is
accessible to plants.
■ In extremely deficient soils, crop yields may increase
by up to 40%.
■ Crops have a higher nutritional value as a result of
this.
■ All grains and veggies are suitable.

The Indian leopard is protected by Schedule I of the
Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972. In India, however, a
leopard’s death does not make the news, and wildlife
experts estimate that the country loses approximately
six leopards for every tiger killed. The species was
also reclassified from the “near threatened” to the
“vulnerable” category on the International Union
for Conservation of Nature Red Data List due to a
steady decline in the world leopard population over
the years.
Description
The Indian Leopard has bigger rosettes than the other
subspecies, and its coat is lighter in deserts, greyer
in colder climates, and more ochre in rainforests.
Rosettes, like other leopard subspecies, have a pattern
that is unique to each individual and may be used to
distinguish them. Males are bigger and heavier than
females, and they are sexually dimorphic. Indian
Leopards, like other leopard subspecies, are solitary
predators who stay well-hidden at night but come
down from trees to hunt during the day. They are more
prone to haul their kills up trees where they coexist
with rival predators such as Bengal Tigers, Striped
Hyenas, and Dhole. They are opportunistic hunters
with big heads and powerful jaw muscles, developed
for strength rather than speed, and designed to kill
medium-sized herbivores. The Indian Leopard’s diet
consists mostly of Chital, Sambar, and Langur species,
although they are also known to feed on Spotted Deer,
Nilai, Wild Pig, cow, hare, dog, and porcupine. Because
Indian Leopards are strong climbers that rely on trees
for cover, they may be found in a variety of wooded
environments, including the rainforest, dry deciduous
forest, temperate forest, and northern coniferous forest.

Recent Statistics
The national estimate of 12,852 leopards, according
to a recent study, is 60 percent more than the 2014
estimate of 7,910. Madhya Pradesh leads the way
with 3,421 leopards, followed by Karnataka with
1,783 leopards and Maharashtra with 1,690 leopards.
Leopards were discovered in both prey-rich protected
regions and multi-use woods, according to the
research. Pattern recognition software was used to
identify 5,240 adult individual leopards from 51,337
leopard images, according to the report.
According to the government report in 2018, the
Western Ghats harbored 3387 leopards, Bramhaputra
Basin harbored 141 leopards, Central India and
Eastern Ghats harbored 8071 leopards and Gangetic
Plains harbored 1253.
The leopard population in India’s tiger range areas
was predicted to be between 12,172 and 13,535
individuals in 2020. Elevations below 2,600 m (8,500
ft) were measured in the Shivalik Hills and Gangetic
plains in Central India, as well as the Eastern Ghats,
Western Ghats, and the Brahmaputra River basin
and hills in Northeast India.
New Research
Leopards displayed cathemeral activity patterns,
positive co-occurrence patterns, and considerable
geographical and temporal overlap with their major
prey, the wild pig, according to the results of 6413
video trap nights in 187 sites. Leopards, on the other
hand, have relatively little geographical and temporal
overlap with their secondary prey, the common
langur. Leopards stayed away from people and had
little geographical and temporal overlap with them.
Our data suggest that leopard behavior is driven by
a trade-off between prey consumption and avoiding
anthropogenic disturbances such as human activities
(Palei et al., 2021).
In terms of frequency of occurrence, the Indian
Leopard’s animal-based diet included both wild
(51.75%) and domestic (7.39%) prey, as well as plant
species (31.47 percent). Small animals (rodents,
two mongoose species, Asian palm squirrel, and
Cape hare), birds, insects, and snails were among
the wild prey. Poultry fowl, sheep, goats, and dogs
were among the domestic prey. Summer saw a larger
intake of wild prey (n = 31 scats), whereas winter
saw a higher intake of domestic prey (n = 37 scats).
In the summer, the dietary niche width was 14.84,
compared to 10.67 in the winter. A chi-square test
revealed a significant variation in the leopard cat’s
seasonal food consumption (Fatima et al., 2021).
Leopard density rose with high road density, high
terrainroughness,andhabitatswithahighpercentage
of agriculture and natural vegetation, according to
studies by Rather et al. (2021).

The Need for Indyo Organic
Food security, nutritional quality, and safety are all
different in different parts of the world. One of the
key issues facing the near future is achieving these
three objectives. To date, industrialized production
methods have demonstrated severe limits, such as
persistent pesticide residues in the food chain and
water, and lower nutritional and flavor content
due to low-cost intensive food production and/or
processing. The following are the main points:
More dry matter and minerals (Fe, Mg) are found
in organic plant products, as well as anti-oxidant
micronutrients such as phenols and salicylic acid.
Data on carbohydrate, protein, and vitamin levels are
weakly reported in organic animal products, while
data on polyunsaturated fatty acids are insufficiently
documented in organic animal products.
Pesticide residues are not found in 94–100% of
organic foods.
Organic veggies have considerably fewer nitrates,
and organic cereals have around half the amount of
mycotoxins as conventional cereals.
As a result, organic farming systems have already
demonstrated their ability to provide food of
excellent quality.
What is Indyo Organic?
INDYO ORGANIC is a grower and trader of organic
grains, pulses, dried fruits, herbs & spices, and other
agricultural goods derived from organic agriculture.
Due to their extensive business network of 40
producers, they offer a diverse product selection
with good quality and cheap rates. They have the
opportunity to supply many agricultural items

Vermicomposting
Vermicomposting is the decomposition of organic
materials in the presence of air by making use
of earthworms’ and microorganisms’ optimal
biological activity. The earthworms are responsible
for fragmenting, mixing, and promoting microbial
activity in the organic matter throughout the
vermicomposting process.
Compost = organic materials + decomposition with
air, water, and sunlight
Vermi Compost = organic matter + decomposition
with air, water, sunlight, and earthworms
Farmox Vermicompost = Decomposition of cow
manure with air, water, sunlight, earthworms, and
fine filtration to obtain only castings
Vermicompost – The need for Farmox
Farmox is a company that sources raw materials
for the manufacture of vermicompost. While we
all want our plants to be healthy and attractive, we
often overlook the soil. If we take good care of the
soil, our plants will take care of themselves, and we
will be left with little work to do.
In most circumstances, vermicompost has been
demonstrated to be the best soil conditioner. It
enhances soil structure, which increases the soil’s
water and nutrient retention capacity.
Synthetic fertilizers, such as urea, are made using a
highly energy-intensive method. According to 2002
research, the manufacturing of ammonia, which
is used to make urea, uses around 5% of global
natural gas usage. During the production process,
excessive greenhouse gases are produced. Nitrous
oxide has surpassed methane and carbon dioxide
as the third most important greenhouse gas as a
result of excessive nitrogen fertilizer use. As a result,
turning organic is beneficial not just to your soil’s
longevity but also to the ecosystem. Soil is a complex
ecosystem that hosts bacteria, fungus, protists, and
animals, even though plant physiologists often see it

as only a source of nutrients for plants.
Plants engage in a wide range of interactions with
these soil-dwelling creatures, spanning the entire
ecological spectrum (competitive, exploitative,
neutral, commensal, mutualistic). Adding
vermicomposttothesoilinvolvesintroducingalarge
number of bacteria. Worm castings have 10 to 20
times the microbial activity of the organic stuff that
the worm consumes. Vermicompost, like synthetic
fertilizers, cannot be produced using a chemical
process in a factory. Vermicomposting necessitates a
large number of raw materials. The provision of raw
materials involves a large number of people. They
source all of their raw materials from local farms.
How to use Farmox Vermicompost?
Vermicompost mixed with soil at a rate of 20 to
30% is a good germination mixture. It will also
ensure that your plants develop continuously
and lushly for roughly three months without the
need for additional plant nourishment. In most
circumstances, vermicompost has proven to be the
best soil conditioner. Always stir the vermicompost
into the soil completely. Allow drying before
applying to the surface. Allowing it to dry means
allowing all of the microbes to perish. In terms of
fertilizer or plant food, around 200 grams per plant
per month for indoor plants and 250 grams per
plant per month for outdoor plants. Around 250
grams of fertilizer or plant food per plant per month
Once every 6 months, add 30 to 50 percent of the
fertilizer to the soil. For lawns, Every three months,
apply a 0.25 to a 0.5-inch layer of vermicompost on
the surface. When it comes to new flora, Use the
following Vermicompost universal potting mixture:
1: 1: 1 ratio of coco peat to the soil.

The Need for Miklens

chemical pesticides and fertilizers not just on their
soil and crops, but also on human health and the
environment in general.
Miklens Bio leverages its biotechnology expertise
to deliver successful solutions, enhancing the
value proposition for farmers in terms of increased
yields, enhanced crop quality, and, ultimately,
increased profitability.
Miklens Bio’s research is focused on the
microorganisms found in the environment, and
as a result, the company has been successful in
developing a specialized variety of bio-Agri inputs.
Their products have been thoroughly tested to
ensure increased harvests while also enhancing the
quality of the land, soil, and general environment.

atmospheric nitrogen into a form that plants can
use. The liquid and powder versions of the product
are available.
Mikspiral
Azospirillum lipoferum is a nitrogen-fixing bio-
inoculant that can be used on all crops except
legumes. Azospirillum is a species of associative
bacterium that lives at the root zone. It fixes
atmospheric nitrogen, supplying 30 to 50 percent
of the plant’s nitrogen requirements. Auxin
and cytokinin are two plant growth hormones
produced by Azospirillum. The liquid and powder
versions of the product are available.

Shampoo
The English term shampoo is derived from the
Hindustani word chāmpo, and it was first used in
1762. In India, a variety of plants and their extracts
have been used as shampoos from ancient times;
evidenceofearlyherbalshampoohasbeendiscovered
at the Banawali site of the Indus Valley Civilization,
which dates from 2750–2500 BCE. Sapindus was
boiled with dried Indian gooseberry (amla) and a few
other herbs and the filtered liquid was used to make
a highly efficient early shampoo. In the 16th century,
Guru Nanak, the founding prophet and first Guru of
Sikhism, made connections to the soapberry tree and
soap. Early colonial traders in India indulged in hair
washing and body massage (champu) as part of their
daily strip wash. When they returned to Europe, they
brought their new habits with them, including the
hair treatment known as shampoo.
Zero
In the year 628, (Hindu astronomer and
mathematician) Brahmagupta defined zero and
its operation for the first time. The Babylonians
employed a space, and subsequently a zero symbol,
to represent the ‘absence’ in their written Sexagesimal
system, the Olmecs used a positional zero glyph in
their Vigesimal system, and the Greeks utilized a
Sexagesimal system from Ptolemy’s Almagest. In
the written version of their decimal Counting rods
method, the Chinese utilized a blank. The Bakhshali
text was the first to use a dot rather than a blank to

represent zero in a decimal system. The first known
use of the zero may be found in the Bakhshali text,
which dates from the third to the fourth century.
Cataract Surgery
Sushruta, an Indian physician, was familiar with
cataract surgery (6th century BCE). The Jabamukhi
Salaka, a curved needle used to dislodge the lens
and push the cataract out of the field of vision, was
used in India to conduct cataract surgery. Later, the
eye would be bathed in heated butter and bandaged.
Greek philosophers and scientists came to India,
where doctors conducted these operations. Surgery
for cataract removal was also brought to China from
India.
Zinc Mining & Medicinal Zinc
Zinc mining and medicinal zinc: In India, zinc ore
was first smelted. During the early Christian era, the
zinc mines of Zawar, near Udaipur, Rajasthan, were
active. The Charaka Samhita has allusions to zinc’s
therapeutic applications (300 BCE). The Rasaratna
Samuccaya, which originates from the Tantric period
(c. 5th – 13th century CE), states that there are two
sorts of zinc ores, one of which is suitable for metal
extraction and the other for medicinal use. India
was to use the distillation method, a sophisticated
technology, to melt the first zinc obtained from a
lengthy experience of old alchemy. The distillation
process for producing zinc goes back to the 12th
century CE and is a significant contribution to
science by India.
Chess
During the Gupta period (c. 280–550 CE), the
predecessor of chess was invented in India. The roots
of the game of chess are attributed to the Indians by
both Persians and Arabs. In Old Persian and Arabic,
theterminologyfor“chess”is‘Chatrang’and‘Shatranj,’
respectively, names derived from the Sanskrit term
‘Caturaṅga,’ which means “four divisions or corps.”
Chess became popular throughout the world, and
numerous variations of the game arose as a result.
This game was brought to the Near East from India
andformedacomponentofPersiannobility’sprincely
or courtly upbringing. It was taken to the Far East
by Buddhist pilgrims, Silk Road traders, and others,
where it was modified and absorbed into a game that
was often played on the junction of the board’s lines
rather than within the squares. Through Persia, the
Byzantine empire, and the growing Arabian empire,
Chaturanga made its way to Europe. By the 10th
century, Muslims had brought Shatranj to North
Africa, Sicily, and Spain, where it evolved into the
current game of chess.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda and Siddha are two ancient Indian medical
systems that are still used today. The Hindu literature
contains Ayurvedic concepts (mid-first millennium
BCE). Ayurveda is a traditional Indian medicine
that has evolved through thousands of years and is
being used today. (āyur-veda) is a Sanskrit term that
meaning “knowledge (Veda) for longevity (yur).”
Siddha medicine is mostly practiced in South India
and is conveyed through Tamil scriptures rather than
Sanskrit literature. The Siddha treatment system’s
primary raw ingredients are herbs and minerals.
Diamond Mining
Diamonds were discovered and mined for the first
time in central India, when large alluvial quantities
of the stone were discovered along the rivers Penner,
Krishna, and the Godavari. The exact date when
diamonds were originally mined in India is unknown,
although it is thought to be at least 5,000 years ago.
Until the discovery of diamonds in Brazil in the
18th century, India was the world’s only supplier of
diamonds. In central India, Golconda was a major
diamond trading center. Diamonds were then
shipped all over the world, even to Europe. Sanskrit
scriptures are the first to mention diamonds in India.
“Foreigners wear it [diamond] on the belief that it
may fend off bad forces,” says a Chinese text from the
3rd century BCE. Because diamonds were not found
in China, the Chinese utilized them as a “jade cutting
knife” rather than a jewel at first.

Also, they had tried to monitor the comparative results against traditional practices. They succeeded to deliver better performance and in turn convince the farmers. • 22. Wheat grains are typically oval, however, they can range from virtually spherical to long, thin, and flattened shapes depending on the kind of wheat. The grain is generally 5 to 9 mm long, weighs 35 to 50 mg, and has a crease down one side where it was once attached to the wheat blossom. The wheat grain comprises 2-3 percent germ, 13-17 percent bran, and 80-85 percent mealy endosperm (all dry matter components) (Sramkova et al. 2009). Wheat milling businesses provide byproducts that are used in animal feed, bio-ethanol production, succinic acid manufacturing, as a nutritious additive in baked goods, cosmetics, meat substitutes, nutraceutical/ pharmaceutical products, and a variety of other applications. As a consequence, value addition is any step in the manufacturing process that enhances the product for the customer and increases the net worth of the final product; these byproducts might be employed for value addition. Wheat germ is the portion of the wheat kernel that contains the greatest vitamins and minerals. The germ is, in reality, the embryo of the wheat plant. This embryo will ultimately feed the budding wheat plant, which is why it contains so many beneficial nutrients. By-products of Wheat 1. All-Purpose Flour It is made from hard wheat crushed endosperm or a mixture of hard and soft wheat kernels. The bleaching chemicals react without leaving any hazardous residues or destroying nutrients. Unbleached all-purpose flour is off-white and is bleached by oxygen in the air throughout the aging process. Bleached and unbleached flour are nutritionally equal. 2. Semolina/Rava Semolina is a coarse, gritty flour that is generally produced from durum wheat. It is made up of the grain’s nutritious heart (endosperm), which is left behind after milling when the fine flour is sorted. Semolina is made from durum wheat middlings that is coarsely cleaned and used to make couscous, pasta, and sweet puddings. The term semolina is also used to refer to coarse middlings from different wheat types, as well as other grains. Bread produced with durum wheat semolina flour has the following characteristics: ■ The Crumb structure is fine and consistent. ■ Palatable flavor ■ Origin and long shelf life Depending on the quality of the wheat, it can range in color from yellow to white. In the United States and other countries, semolina is mostly used to produce pasta, cereals, and sweets, but in India, it is utilized to prepare both savory and sweet meals. Upma and Rava Idli are two of the most basic and well-known Indian meals made using rava. 3. Wheat Bran Wheat bran is a waste product of the wheat milling process. It generally makes up 14–19% of the overall grain weight. Wheat bran contains 46 percent non- starch polysaccharides, including arabinoxylan (70 percent), cellulose (24 percent), and beta- glucan (6 percent), as well as tiny quantities of glucoglucomannan and arabinogalactan, making it a good source of dietary fiber. Wheat and oats, for example, have a hard outer shell. When they’re processed, thislayerformsbran, whichisabyproduct. Similarly, bran is obtained when wheat is processed to produce wheat flour. This bran is high in nutrients and has a variety of health advantages. Wheat bran is high in protein, magnesium, manganese, niacin, phosphorus, zinc, and vitamin B6, as well as being low in fat, cholesterol-free, sugar-free, and sodium- free. Wheat bran is one of the greatest natural sources of dietary fiber. It can aid in the maintenance of regular bowel function and the relief of periodic constipation, such as that induced by dietary changes or travel. Celiac disease sufferers should avoid wheat bran, as they should avoid all wheat sources. 4. Whole Wheat Flour It is flour made from whole wheat berry. It’s made up of coarsely crushed bran and germ, as well as endosperm. Because the addition of bran decreases the gluten proportion in the flour mix, whole wheat loaves are often heavier than white flour bread. Whole wheat flour has more trace minerals and dietary fiber than white flour and is higher in B vitamins, vitamin E, and protein. Whole wheat flour does not need to be enhanced like white flour since it has so many nutrients. To boost the gluten proportion in most recipes, whole wheat flour can be combined half and half with white flour. Whole wheat flour is also known as graham flour. Some other byproducts of wheat include: ■ Bread flour ■ Self-rising flour ■ Cake flour ■ Pastry flour ■ Gluten flour ■ Durum flour Sources and references: Products and byproducts of wheat milling process by Kanojia et al. In collaboration with plant roots, microorganisms digest atmospheric nitrogen for crop growth. Nitrogen is one of the most critical nutrients for agricultural, plantation, and other effective production. The following are some of the benefits of utilizing Azo-plus:  High capacity for nitrogen fixation (up to 30 kg/ha).  Hormones are produced to help plants grow faster (root and shoot).  Crop yield increases.  Non-legumes such as grains, millets, sugarcane, vegetables, rubber, spices, medicinal and fragrant plants, and others are suitable. Application: Soil application; seed treatment; seedling therapy B) Bio-plus Bio-PLUS is a proprietary blend of free-living bacteria from the Azotobacter genus. The following are some of the benefits of using Bio- plus: ■ Fixes atmospheric nitrogen (20 to 30 kg/ha) for plant growth and development. ■ To support healthy growth, it produces vitamins, nicotinic acid, pantothenic acid, biotin, hetroauxins, and gibberellins. ■ Antibiotics and fungistatic are produced for effective soil cleaning against diseases. ■ All crops and plants are suitable. Application: Treatment of seeds C) Grow-Plus Grow-PLUS is a microbe-based product that helps crops to solubilize a vital micronutrient called Zinc. Zinc is required by practically all crops, and a lack of it reduces the nutritious value of output. Zinc deficiency affects about half of all cultivable land used for grain production. Khaira in paddy is one of the most common illnesses caused by zinc deficiency; oftentimes there are no obvious symptoms, but yield loss can be as high as 40%. The following are some of the benefits of utilizing Grow-plus: ■ Even though just a little amount is necessary. The microbes in Grow-Plus solubilize the zinc that is accessible to plants. ■ In extremely deficient soils, crop yields may increase by up to 40%. ■ Crops have a higher nutritional value as a result of this. ■ All grains and veggies are suitable. Application: Treatment of the soil D) Phospho-Plus Bacillus polymyxa, a Phosphate Solubilizing Microorganism, is found in high concentration in Phospho-PLUS. After nitrogen, phosphorus is the second most essential nutrient for plants. The following are some of the benefits of utilizing Phospho-plus: ■ Aids in the conversion of insoluble inorganic phosphate into a simple and soluble form that plants may use. ■ Increases the efficiency with which fertilizer is used. ■ Mineralize organic phosphate molecules in manure and soils. ■ Increases yield; increases grain, fruit, vegetable, and another produce size. ■ All crops and plants are suitable. • 30. The Indian leopard is protected by Schedule I of the Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972. In India, however, a leopard’s death does not make the news, and wildlife experts estimate that the country loses approximately six leopards for every tiger killed. The species was also reclassified from the “near threatened” to the “vulnerable” category on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red Data List due to a steady decline in the world leopard population over the years. Description The Indian Leopard has bigger rosettes than the other subspecies, and its coat is lighter in deserts, greyer in colder climates, and more ochre in rainforests. Rosettes, like other leopard subspecies, have a pattern that is unique to each individual and may be used to distinguish them. Males are bigger and heavier than females, and they are sexually dimorphic. Indian Leopards, like other leopard subspecies, are solitary predators who stay well-hidden at night but come down from trees to hunt during the day. They are more prone to haul their kills up trees where they coexist with rival predators such as Bengal Tigers, Striped Hyenas, and Dhole. They are opportunistic hunters with big heads and powerful jaw muscles, developed for strength rather than speed, and designed to kill medium-sized herbivores. The Indian Leopard’s diet consists mostly of Chital, Sambar, and Langur species, although they are also known to feed on Spotted Deer, Nilai, Wild Pig, cow, hare, dog, and porcupine. Because Indian Leopards are strong climbers that rely on trees for cover, they may be found in a variety of wooded environments, including the rainforest, dry deciduous forest, temperate forest, and northern coniferous forest. • 31. Recent Statistics The national estimate of 12,852 leopards, according to a recent study, is 60 percent more than the 2014 estimate of 7,910. Madhya Pradesh leads the way with 3,421 leopards, followed by Karnataka with 1,783 leopards and Maharashtra with 1,690 leopards. Leopards were discovered in both prey-rich protected regions and multi-use woods, according to the research. Pattern recognition software was used to identify 5,240 adult individual leopards from 51,337 leopard images, according to the report. According to the government report in 2018, the Western Ghats harbored 3387 leopards, Bramhaputra Basin harbored 141 leopards, Central India and Eastern Ghats harbored 8071 leopards and Gangetic Plains harbored 1253. The leopard population in India’s tiger range areas was predicted to be between 12,172 and 13,535 individuals in 2020. Elevations below 2,600 m (8,500 ft) were measured in the Shivalik Hills and Gangetic plains in Central India, as well as the Eastern Ghats, Western Ghats, and the Brahmaputra River basin and hills in Northeast India. New Research Leopards displayed cathemeral activity patterns, positive co-occurrence patterns, and considerable geographical and temporal overlap with their major prey, the wild pig, according to the results of 6413 video trap nights in 187 sites. Leopards, on the other hand, have relatively little geographical and temporal overlap with their secondary prey, the common langur. Leopards stayed away from people and had little geographical and temporal overlap with them. Our data suggest that leopard behavior is driven by a trade-off between prey consumption and avoiding anthropogenic disturbances such as human activities (Palei et al., 2021). In terms of frequency of occurrence, the Indian Leopard’s animal-based diet included both wild (51.75%) and domestic (7.39%) prey, as well as plant species (31.47 percent). Small animals (rodents, two mongoose species, Asian palm squirrel, and Cape hare), birds, insects, and snails were among the wild prey. Poultry fowl, sheep, goats, and dogs were among the domestic prey. Summer saw a larger intake of wild prey (n = 31 scats), whereas winter saw a higher intake of domestic prey (n = 37 scats). In the summer, the dietary niche width was 14.84, compared to 10.67 in the winter. A chi-square test revealed a significant variation in the leopard cat’s seasonal food consumption (Fatima et al., 2021). Leopard density rose with high road density, high terrainroughness, andhabitatswithahighpercentage of agriculture and natural vegetation, according to studies by Rather et al. (2021). Indyo Organic: Eat Healthy, Eat Organic Organic Organic Agriculture Agriculture Companies Companies in 2021 in 2021 Top Top10 10 Best Best The Need for Indyo Organic Food security, nutritional quality, and safety are all different in different parts of the world. One of the key issues facing the near future is achieving these three objectives. To date, industrialized production methods have demonstrated severe limits, such as persistent pesticide residues in the food chain and water, and lower nutritional and flavor content due to low-cost intensive food production and/or processing. The following are the main points: More dry matter and minerals (Fe, Mg) are found in organic plant products, as well as anti-oxidant micronutrients such as phenols and salicylic acid. Data on carbohydrate, protein, and vitamin levels are weakly reported in organic animal products, while data on polyunsaturated fatty acids are insufficiently documented in organic animal products. Pesticide residues are not found in 94–100% of organic foods. Organic veggies have considerably fewer nitrates, and organic cereals have around half the amount of mycotoxins as conventional cereals. As a result, organic farming systems have already demonstrated their ability to provide food of excellent quality. What is Indyo Organic? The earthworms are responsible for fragmenting, mixing, and promoting microbial activity in the organic matter throughout the vermicomposting process. Compost = organic materials + decomposition with air, water, and sunlight Vermi Compost = organic matter + decomposition with air, water, sunlight, and earthworms Farmox Vermicompost = Decomposition of cow manure with air, water, sunlight, earthworms, and fine filtration to obtain only castings Vermicompost – The need for Farmox Farmox is a company that sources raw materials for the manufacture of vermicompost. While we all want our plants to be healthy and attractive, we often overlook the soil. If we take good care of the soil, our plants will take care of themselves, and we will be left with little work to do. In most circumstances, vermicompost has been demonstrated to be the best soil conditioner. It enhances soil structure, which increases the soil’s water and nutrient retention capacity. Synthetic fertilizers, such as urea, are made using a highly energy-intensive method. According to 2002 research, the manufacturing of ammonia, which is used to make urea, uses around 5% of global natural gas usage. During the production process, excessive greenhouse gases are produced. Nitrous oxide has surpassed methane and carbon dioxide as the third most important greenhouse gas as a result of excessive nitrogen fertilizer use. As a result, turning organic is beneficial not just to your soil’s longevity but also to the ecosystem. Vermicompost, like synthetic fertilizers, cannot be produced using a chemical process in a factory. Vermicomposting necessitates a large number of raw materials. The provision of raw materials involves a large number of people. They source all of their raw materials from local farms. How to use Farmox Vermicompost? Vermicompost mixed with soil at a rate of 20 to 30% is a good germination mixture. It will also ensure that your plants develop continuously and lushly for roughly three months without the need for additional plant nourishment. In most circumstances, vermicompost has proven to be the best soil conditioner. Always stir the vermicompost into the soil completely. Allow drying before applying to the surface. Allowing it to dry means allowing all of the microbes to perish. During the early Christian era, the zinc mines of Zawar, near Udaipur, Rajasthan, were active. The Charaka Samhita has allusions to zinc’s therapeutic applications (300 BCE). The Rasaratna Samuccaya, which originates from the Tantric period (c. 5th – 13th century CE), states that there are two sorts of zinc ores, one of which is suitable for metal extraction and the other for medicinal use. India was to use the distillation method, a sophisticated technology, to melt the first zinc obtained from a lengthy experience of old alchemy. The distillation process for producing zinc goes back to the 12th century CE and is a significant contribution to science by India. Diamond Mining Diamonds were discovered and mined for the first time in central India, when large alluvial quantities of the stone were discovered along the rivers Penner, Krishna, and the Godavari. The exact date when diamonds were originally mined in India is unknown, although it is thought to be at least 5,000 years ago. Until the discovery of diamonds in Brazil in the 18th century, India was the world’s only supplier of diamonds. In central India, Golconda was a major diamond trading center. Diamonds were then shipped all over the world, even to Europe. Sanskrit scriptures are the first to mention diamonds in India. “Foreigners wear it [diamond] on the belief that it may fend off bad forces,” says a Chinese text from the 3rd century BCE. Because diamonds were not found in China, the Chinese utilized them as a “jade cutting knife” rather than a jewel at first. 39 SEPTEMBER 2021 SwiftNLift
