I am a mid career professional who has made an intentional and determined "success to significance" life change. My singular focus is to help urban youth and families overcome obstacles in order to gain maximum opportunity in life. I have chosen to integrate this passion both geographically and psychologically by living in the neighborhood in which I teach and mentor. This has allowed me to grow relationships with both my students and their families as well as youth and families in my neighborhood. This has translated into holistic mentoring - breakfasts, rides to basketball practice and games, help finding summer jobs, education and "life" advice, shopping for Mother's Day gifts, and other normal day to day life "stuff". CAREER SUMMARY: My career path has provided me with management and leadership experience in the banking, IT consulting, and not-for-profit sectors. I have demonstrated the ability to identify and develop leaders. I have been especially successful at identifying young leaders and providing them the opportunities to develop their potential. I have also been successful at developing and leading high performing teams and instilling a culture of trust and accountability into them. I was privileged to serve as Director of Operations with Vineyard Columbus for the past 13 years. Vineyard Columbus is a $16MM 501c3 organization with 8,000 members in attendance per weekend. I reported directly to the Chief Operating Officer who reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. I directly and indirectly supervised a staff of 46 employees and a budget of $4.25MM. As Vineyard Columbus' first Director of Operations, I had the unique opportunity to design, hire and develop all five of the Operations teams.
