Continuous Variable The continuous variable I selected is “Problems w/Public Health Clinics”. The means for this data is 7.43, the median is 7.4335 and the mode is 0. For the variable, the mean is the best measure it incorporates every value of this variable making it more representative of the variable (Frankfort-Nachmias, Leon-Guerrero, & Davis, 2020). The standard deviation is 5.11961, this number represents the difference of the data points from the mean. This number means that the scores regarding problems with health clinics differed from the mean by 5.11961. The variance is 26.210 describes the degree to which the data points are spread. I would describe this variable as having a lot of variability and extreme. Those that had no problems with public clinics more than double the amount of those that had a median amount of problems and triple those that had lots of problems. Categorical Variable Categorical variables are nominal or ordinal and cannot be described with mean or median. The best central tendency for these variables are mode, which is the score that shows up most frequently (Frankfort-Nachmias, Leon-Guerrero, & Davis, 2020). The categorical variable I selected is “country’s present economic condition compared to 12 months ago”, is mode is a tie for same and better all with the frequency of 2872 and a percent of 27.8%. This variable has low variability. Most of the participants believe there has been a small change or no change in economic conditions over the past 12 months. The big question for students learning statistics is, "How do I know if I'm using the correct statisticaltest?" For experienced statisticians this question is easy to answer as it is based on a few criteria. However, to a student just learning statisticsor to the novice researcher, this question is a legitimate one. Many statistical reference texts include a guide that asks specific questionsregarding the type of research question, design, number and scales of measurement of variables, and statistical assumption of the data thatallows you to use an elegant chart known as a decision tree. Based on the answers to these questions, the decision tree is used to helpdetermine the type of analysis to be used for the research, thereby helping you answer this big question.

To make the correct decisions based on the use of a decision tree, there are four specific questions that must be answered. These questions areas follows:

· How many independent, dependent, and covariate variables are used in the study?

Describing a Normative Sample
When it comes to the use of psychological tests, one approach that both researchers and clinicians take in trying to understand participants’ performance is a norm-referenced approach. With a norm-referenced test, the test is given to a large, representative group of participants known as the “normative sample” (a.k.a. “norm group”). Then, the scores of all subsequent test-takers are compared to the scores of the norm group. In order for the norm group to be a valid comparison group, it has to be representative of the population who will be taking the test.
So how do we know if the normative sample is representative? When summarizing the psychometric properties of a test, test developers and publishers usually describe the norm group with their demographic variables. Demographic variables are characteristics of the participants like: gender, age, ethnicity, relationship status, socioeconomic status, religious affiliation etc. A description of the normative sample allows examinersto decide if the test of interest can be used with their intended examinees. For example, if the normative sample were 95% male, then you likely could not logically compare their scores to females test takers! That is why readers need to know what the normative sample looks like.

The US healthcare system has had quite a number of flaws that have for a very long time been ignored due to the assumption that the two main methods of catering for healthcare in the US, Medicaid and Medicare, are sufficient and efficient. However, late developments have been made to cub the issues brought about by their inadequacies. These include the famous affordable care act famously referred to as Obamacare (Patient protection and affordable care act) (Pipes, 2013).
A closer look at there issues with all over the country shows that the two most common methods of helping individuals cope with healthcare needs mostly ignore children. Medicare is for individuals that are beyond 65 years while Medicaid is not a guarantee not unless there is clear evidence of low income levels which unfortunately, is also not a guarantee. Children Healthcare Program at least is available for people that are considered to have an income too high to qualify for Medicaid. All these however aren’t supported by the data at the North Memorial Hospital of Minnesota. Children continue suffering compared to adults at least in comparison and the benchmark on government help through health funding.
There is a great need to look at this close and find out whether these facts are so or it is an assumption and if the rest of the state of Minnesota is still in the same state.
Availability of Medicaid reduces chances of children receiving health care from the medical canter. This research design is going to rely on Medicaid as the independent variable. Health care on children received through CHIP (Children Health Insurance Program) is going to be the dependent variable. Therefore, the problem under research here is: Availability of Medicare to (some) families undermine the probability of children to get access to CHIP and thus resulting to less affordability and availability of healthcare to children through the medical center.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
This research method document aims at establishing the relationships between various Healthcare products and platforms that are provided by the Federal government in association with the state of Minnesota and the way they interact to affect accessibility and affordability of healthcare with the case study of the North Memorial Hospital in Minnesota.

To help with holistic and timely healing of sexual assault patients, shortage of resources should be addressed and more sexual assault team members must be procured. This is a vicious cycle that needs to be addressed by the community as a whole. The turnover rate for SANE nurses is high, while sexual assault patients face long-term mental and physical effects. Additionally, the society they live in engage in victim-blaming, and their trauma is minimized. While healthcare institutions are challenged with the pandemic, sexual abuse rates, and their intensity have risen with lockdowns. Although, methods to improve the quality of care are ongoing; additional steps should be taken to control further damage. This paper will give an overview of the SANE program, present the ongoing issues faced by sexual assault patients and some possible solutions to these issues.
Literature Review
ProQuest was primarily used for searching for all 4 Journal articles and Google Scholar was used for the 2 websites. The terms “sexual assault”, “shortage of forensic nurses”, PTSD in sexual assault victims” etc. were used. Articles within 5 years was entered in the filter.
The first article explained the duties of these health care workers. It explained that these nurses examine the victim to obtain proof of an assault or physical injury. The proof is provided as evidence during the hearing of the case. The nurses also pose questions to the victims to evaluate the assault deeply for a clearer picture of the case scenario. They also administer drugs to prevent any infection as well as testing for pregnancy (Delgadillo, 2017)
The second article induced an existing shortage of SANE nurses in the majority of the developing countries. According to EMC Educational Services (2015) stated data analytics lifestyle is the process used for incorporating data. It is also organized process that provides arrangement to the whole process of data analytics, which starts before the actual data is analyzed and connected. The data analytics lifestyle assist individuals to ensure there is an identified reason for collecting data, which data is available, and muse about the model using the data before collecting and analyzing the data. The lifecycle has six phases, and the project work can occur in several phases at once. The six phases are discovery, data preparation, model planning, model building, communicate results, and operationalize. Phase three of the data analytics is model planning, where the team has to determine the methods, techniques, and the workflow that tends to follow the subsequent model building phase (EMC Education Services, 2015). The best model chosen imply the identify problem is the linear regression model.

Learning from a Class Imbalanced Public Health Dataset: a Cost-based Comparis...
Public health care systems routinely collect health-related data from the population. This data can be analyzed using data mining techniques to find novel, interesting patterns, which could help formulate effective public health policies and interventions. The occurrence of chronic illness is rare in the population and the effect of this class imbalance, on the performance of various classifiers was studied. The objective of this work is to identify the best classifiers for class imbalanced health datasets through a cost-based comparison of classifier performance. The popular, open- source data mining tool WEKA, was used to build a variety of core classifiers as well as classifier ensembles, to evaluate the classifiers‟ performance. The unequal misclassification costs were represented in a cost matrix, and cost-benefit analysis was also performed. In another experiment, various sampling methods such as under-sampling, over-sampling, and SMOTE was performed to balance the class distribution in the dataset, and the costs were compared. The Bayesian classifiers performed well with a high recall, low number of false negatives and were not affected by the class imbalance. Results confirm that total cost of Bayesian classifiers can be further reduced using cost-sensitive learning methods. Classifiers built using the random under-sampled dataset showed a dramatic drop in costs and high classification accuracy.

ABSTRACT
As an intervention for adolescents, adventure therapy has evolved considerably over the last three decades with support from multiple meta- analyses and research input from both residential and outpatient services. Tainted by a history of unethical practice and issues of accountability, this article explores the question of how adventure therapy can meet a standard of evidence preferred by policymakers and funding bodies on the international stage. In this case, feedback-informed treatment (FIT) is presented as a means for routine outcome management, creating a framework for adventure therapy which aims to improve the quality of participant engagement while maintaining and operationalizing today’s definitions for evidence-based practice. A case vignette illustrates the use of FIT with an adolescent participant engaged on a 14-day adventure therapy program.

To help with holistic and timely healing of sexual assault patients, shortage of resources should be addressed and more sexual assault team members must be procured. This is a vicious cycle that needs to be addressed by the community as a whole. The turnover rate for SANE nurses is high, while sexual assault patients face long-term mental and physical effects. Additionally, the society they live in engage in victim-blaming, and their trauma is minimized. While healthcare institutions are challenged with the pandemic, sexual abuse rates, and their intensity have risen with lockdowns. Although, methods to improve the quality of care are ongoing; additional steps should be taken to control further damage. This paper will give an overview of the SANE program, present the ongoing issues faced by sexual assault patients and some possible solutions to these issues.
Literature Review
ProQuest was primarily used for searching for all 4 Journal articles and Google Scholar was used for the 2 websites. The terms “sexual assault”, “shortage of forensic nurses”, PTSD in sexual assault victims” etc. were used. Articles within 5 years was entered in the filter.
The first article explained the duties of these health care workers. It explained that these nurses examine the victim to obtain proof of an assault or physical injury. The proof is provided as evidence during the hearing of the case. The nurses also pose questions to the victims to evaluate the assault deeply for a clearer picture of the case scenario. They also administer drugs to prevent any infection as well as testing for pregnancy (Delgadillo, 2017)
The second article induced an existing shortage of SANE nurses in the majority of the developing countries. That goes hand in hand with a shortage of screening facilities in their health care centers. As the article elaborated, there are few forensic programs infiltrated in hospitals. According to EMC Educational Services (2015) stated data analytics lifestyle is the process used for incorporating data. It is also organized process that provides arrangement to the whole process of data analytics, which starts before the actual data is analyzed and connected. The data analytics lifestyle assist individuals to ensure there is an identified reason for collecting data, which data is available, and muse about the model using the data before collecting and analyzing the data. The lifecycle has six phases, and the project work can occur in several phases at once. The six phases are discovery, data preparation, model planning, model building, communicate results, and operationalize. Phase three of the data analytics is model planning, where the team has to determine the methods, techniques, and the workflow that tends to follow the subsequent model building phase (EMC Education Services, 2015). The best model chosen imply the identify problem is the linear regression model.

Learning from a Class Imbalanced Public Health Dataset: a Cost-based Comparis...
Public health care systems routinely collect health-related data from the population. This data can be analyzed using data mining techniques to find novel, interesting patterns, which could help formulate effective public health policies and interventions. The occurrence of chronic illness is rare in the population and the effect of this class imbalance, on the performance of various classifiers was studied. The objective of this work is to identify the best classifiers for class imbalanced health datasets through a cost-based comparison of classifier performance. The popular, open- source data mining tool WEKA, was used to build a variety of core classifiers as well as classifier ensembles, to evaluate the classifiers‟ performance. The unequal misclassification costs were represented in a cost matrix, and cost-benefit analysis was also performed. In another experiment, various sampling methods such as under-sampling, over-sampling, and SMOTE was performed to balance the class distribution in the dataset, and the costs were compared. The Bayesian classifiers performed well with a high recall, low number of false negatives and were not affected by the class imbalance. Results confirm that total cost of Bayesian classifiers can be further reduced using cost-sensitive learning methods. Classifiers built using the random under-sampled dataset showed a dramatic drop in costs and high classification accuracy.

ABSTRACT
As an intervention for adolescents, adventure therapy has evolved considerably over the last three decades with support from multiple meta- analyses and research input from both residential and outpatient services. Tainted by a history of unethical practice and issues of accountability, this article explores the question of how adventure therapy can meet a standard of evidence preferred by policymakers and funding bodies on the international stage. In this case, feedback-informed treatment (FIT) is presented as a means for routine outcome management, creating a framework for adventure therapy which aims to improve the quality of participant engagement while maintaining and operationalizing today’s definitions for evidence-based practice. A case vignette illustrates the use of FIT with an adolescent participant engaged on a 14-day adventure therapy program.

Elaine has worked in the IMCU of a community hospital for 11 years. She is one of the best nurses, and serves as a preceptor and a resource for other nurses on the unit. The McDonald’s ‘Beef Fries’ Controversy

A CONTROVERSY ERUPTS
In May 2001, a class action lawsuit

was filed against the world‘s largest fast-food chain
McDonald‘s, in Seattle, US. The lawsuit alleged that the company had, for over a decade, duped
vegetarian customers into eating French fries

that contained beef extracts. The lawsuit followed a
spate of media reports detailing how the French fries served at McDonald‘s were falsely promoted
as being ‗100% vegetarian.‘
Although McDonald‘s initially declined to comment on the issue, the company issued a
‗conditional apology,‘ admitting to using beef flavoring in the fries. The furore over the matter
seemed to be settling down, when to McDonald‘s horror, some of its restaurants in India were
vandalized. Activists of Hindu fundamentalist groups – the Shiv Sena, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad
(VHP) and the Bajrang Dal, staged a demonstration in front of the McDonald‘s head office in
Delhi protesting the alleged use of beef flavouring. They submitted a memorandum to the Prime
Minister, demanding the closure of all McDonald‘s outlets in the country.
Activists also staged protests in front of McDonald‘s restaurants in south Mumbai and Thane.
Mobs ransacked the outlet at Thane, broke the glass panes and smeared the McDonald‘s mascot
Ronald with cow dung. About 30 people were arrested and later let off on bail. Company officials
estimated the loss to the outlet at Rs 2 million.
Officials at McDonald‘s India quickly announced that the vegetarian products served in India did
not have any non-vegetarian content (Refer Exhibit I for details). However, despite this
reassurance, the anti-McDonald‘s wave refused to die down.

Because of the difficulties that expatriates face, some firms have begun a policy of “inpatriation” (a concept discussed further in the Debate section of chapter 13), whereby they relocate foreigners to the host country, with the expectation that after a period of time, they will replace expatriates. While this provides the MNE with a source of workers who do not face cultural obstacles, some significant problems remain. First, inpatriates, who are paid the going rate in the MNE’s home country, are often disappointed or upset when they go to the host country, where salaries are much lower. Second, many inpatriates are ineffective because of their ambiguous position. While the headquarters views inpatriates as “us” because of their time in the home country, other HCNs also view them as “us” because of their common ethnicity.

While union presence is strong in some countries, it is nearly absent in others, so that workers in those countries have relative little protection from potentially unfair actions. What is the feasibility of establishing a global (or semiglobal) labor union to cover these countries? How would they overcome institutional obstacles presented by governments and by MNEs? Women engage in a variety of beauty practices, or “beauty work,” to enhance their
physical appearance, such as applying cosmetics, tanning, or exercising. Although
the rewards of physical attractiveness are well documented, perceptions of both the
women who engage in efforts to enhance their appearance and the high-effort
beauty products marketed to them are not well understood. Across seven studies,
we demonstrate that consumers judge women who engage in certain types of ex-
tensive beauty work as possessing poorer moral character. These judgments occur
only for effortful beauty work perceived as transformative (significantly altering ap-
pearance) and transient (lasting a relatively short time), such that they emerge
within cosmetics and tanning, yet not skincare or exercise. This effect is mediated
by the perception that putting high effort into one’s appearance signals a willingness
to misrepresent one’s true self, and translates into lower purchase intentions for
higher-effort cosmetics. We identify several boundary conditions, including the at-
tractiveness of the woman performing the beauty work and whether the effort is at-
tributed to external norms or causes. In examining how beauty work elicits moral
judgments, we also shed light on why effortful cosmetic use is viewed negatively,
yet effortful products continue to be commercially successful.

T hroughout history, women have gone to great lengthsto enhance their physical appearance. Queen Elizabeth I inspired a generation of women to coat theirfaces with lead to achieve the perfect pale complexion, and
Victorian ladies removed their ribs to whittle down their
waists (Corson 1972/2003). While modern beauty rituals
may be less extreme, we continue to see consumers engage
in extensive “beauty work,” defined as the beauty practices
people perform on themselves to elicit certain benefits
within a social hierarchy (Kwan and Trautner 2009). These
practices are often effortful, such as popular multistep
Korean skincare regimens (Chang 2011) or trends in con-
touring and strobing, where layers of make-up are carefully
applied to highlight facial features (Cardellino 2015). Even
mundane routines such as styling hair or applying cosmet-
ics often require significant time and care. Interestingly,
while research acknowledges that physical attractiveness
can be enhanced through beauty work (Etcoff et al. 2011;
Kwan and Trautner 2009), it has not examined how the

1. What position/positions in your organization are accountable for workplace relations in your organization? What impact do they have? What programs are in place to impact relations at work? Provide specific examples.
My organization is unique. As a member of the IG, I am tasked with inspecting other organizations for compliance, readiness, resource management, and training. Most military organizations have a commander who is responsible for workplace relations in the organizations. The commander ‘s responsibilities include executing the mission, leading people, managing resources, and improving the unit (Air Force Instruction 1-2, 2014).
The commander is responsible for the organization but is not alone. The First Sergeant is responsible for ensuring the force understands the commander’s goals, objectives, and policies. The first Sergeant must communicate with other leaders in the unit and be familiar with personnel programs, professional military education, financial needs, family matters to include housing (Air Force Instruction 36-2113, 2014).
There are many other personnel responsible for workplace relations in the organization. Supervisors at all levels, Equal Opportunity, the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office, the Inspector General, and the legal office. All these key organizations play a role in the organizations under their span of control.
2. If you were an HR manager in a private-sector organization, what key programs would you implement to improve employee-employer relations? Why?
The first program I would implement is streamlined communication. If assigned to a large organization I would look at developing a smart phone application to help with the follow of communication. Employees want to know where they fit in the organization and what they are working toward (Smith, 2017).
Another program I would ensure was developed was a recognition program. Gallup recently completed a survey showing fifty-three percent of employees are not engaged, another survey showed workers who give their management a lower rating is more likely to apply or interview for other positions (Duran, 2020).
Finally, a program I believe is essential today is a career development program. In a survey in 2018, forty-two percent of millennials said their current employer provide learning, development, and training opportunities (Witkin, 2018). Eighty six percent of millennials say they would stay at their current job if the company offered development training opportunities (Duran, 2020).
3. How would you determine the added value of your programs?
As with most programs a Return on Investment (ROI) Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) should be performed. A BCR greater than one shows the program has worth and is not losing the organization money (Kaminski, & Lopes, 2009). ROI was deemed impossible to calculate for human resources, but that is no longer the case (SHRM, 2016).

Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Continuous Variable The continuous variable I selected is “Problems w/Public Health Clinics”. The means for this data is 7.43, the median is 7.4335 and the mode is 0. For the variable, the mean is the best measure it incorporates every value of this variable making it more representative of the variable (Frankfort-Nachmias, Leon- Guerrero, & Davis, 2020). The standard deviation is 5.11961, this number represents the difference of the data points from the mean. This number means that the scores regarding problems with health clinics differed from the mean by 5.11961. The variance is 26.210 describes the degree to which the data points are spread. I would describe this variable as having a lot of variability and extreme. Those that had no problems with public clinics more than double the amount of those that had a median amount of problems and triple those that had lots of problems. Categorical Variable Categorical variables are nominal or ordinal and cannot be described with mean or median. The best central tendency for these variables are mode, which is the score that shows up most frequently (Frankfort-Nachmias, Leon-Guerrero, & Davis, 2020). The categorical variable I selected is “country’s present economic condition compared to 12 months ago”, is mode is a tie for same and better all with the frequency of 2872 and a percent of 27.8%. This variable has low variability. Most of the participants believe there has been a small change or no
