This document discusses judging and slander. It begins by defining slander as a malicious statement intended to hurt someone. While Scripture warns against slander, people often engage in it, even within the church. The document urges not taking revenge, as God is the ultimate defender. It notes James says not to condemn others, as only God can judge inner thoughts. The document clarifies this does not mean never making judgments, as believers will one day judge angels and are called to discern within the church through disciplinary processes aimed at restoration, not condemnation. It closes by reminding people to examine themselves first before addressing issues in others.
The letter commends Gaius for showing hospitality to traveling Christian workers and condemns Diotrephes for refusing hospitality and seeking to put himself above others. John rejoiced to hear that Gaius was caring for believers and walking in truth. In contrast, Diotrephes loved being first and refused to welcome traveling preachers. He also gossiped about the apostles and put believers out of the church for disobeying him. The letter closes by commending Demetrius, who had a good reputation, and expressing John's hope to see Gaius in person.
Romans 15:7 tells Christians to accept one another just as Christ accepted us in order to bring praise to God. Acceptance means welcoming those who are different. The standard for acceptance is Christ, who accepted us despite our flaws. The purpose of acceptance is to glorify God. Christians should apply acceptance by stopping judgment of others, allowing differences of opinion on non-essential issues, and doing what is best for the community. Accepting one another as Christ accepted us honors God.

While no one can fully obey God's standard of holiness as laid out in the 10 Commandments, Jesus came to reconcile this dilemma and redeem humanity from sin through his sacrificial death and resurrection.

Here are 5 tips on how to stop overthinking. For 5 more tips of this type, click the link: http://vkool.com/how-to-stop-overthinking/
1. Put Things Into A Big Picture
Putting your issue into a large picture will help you think less about it or think more positively about it. You should ask questions like: “Can this matter last for years?”, or: “Is there anyone living without a single issue?” It has been proven that by asking yourself these questions, you can stop overthinking easier.
2. Take Action
You should set deadlines for every task you do so that you will not have much time to overthink about anything. You had better take one step at a time until you complete the work. This will help prevent you from feeling overwhelmed. Taking one step at a time will make you busy with your tasks, thereby stop overthinking.
3. Admit That You Could Not Control Everything
Only saints could control everything. You are human being, so you cannot control everything in life. Sometimes you will have to accept things to go their own ways.
Even famous people or the ones that you admire cannot keep everything under their control. Failure is not something terrible. Failure is actually a good lesson that you can learn from. Failure is the mother of success. Therefore, you ought to stop thinking that you can control everything in life.
4. Make Friends With People Who Do Not Overthink
Social environment can affect the way you think. When you communicate with people who can easily forget things that make them sad, you can learn from them to do so. On the contrary, when you communicate with people who are oversensitive, or overthink about things, you can be impacted. The people around you can apparently affect the way you think. Therefore, you should choose who to make friends with, and who to be around when you are in trouble.
5. Workout
Workout can help in removing your negative thoughts, releasing tensions, and getting rid of anxiety. Swimming, walking, and riding bicycle are the best exercises that you should do to avoid overthinking. When you do workouts, you tend to focus on the movement of your body, thereby you will not think much about other things.
In conclusion, you should remember that you are not a saint, so there may be a lot of things that you cannot do. Do not put too much pressure on yourself, and make your brain work too hard without finding any solution after all. Those 5 tips on how to stop overthinking are very helpful, so you should try them if you are suffering from this issue.
Creativity is the ability to generate new ideas and solve problems in any field. It involves making new connections between ideas and experimenting. Creativity can be developed through giving oneself time and space for creative thinking, building confidence to take risks and make mistakes, and using humor to relax the mind. John Cleese identifies five factors to increase creativity: space, time, confidence, humor, and switching between open and closed modes of thinking. The revised Bloom's Taxonomy recognizes that higher-order thinking like creation is more difficult than recall or application. Teachers can promote student creativity by modeling it themselves, providing a stimulating classroom environment, finding what excites each student, and allowing time and mistakes in the creative process.

The key is to clothe oneself with kindness, humility, and patience in order to connect through respect, listening, and understanding other perspectives.

Mark. 12:31 “And the second, like it, is this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." ”
God want to reveal his love to us and his eternal plan, so he give us the Bible, to allow us to understand his mind, and great commandment is the core of the Bible, so if we understand it and when we read the Bible we will have a deeper understanding, since great commandment is so important we’re going to have a deeper discussion about it

4) The greatest commandment is to love one's neighbor, as love fulfills the law and does no wrong to others.
This document appears to be a sermon or lesson from the Gospel Baptist Tabernacle church. It discusses several Bible passages about finding good or evil based on one's heart and expectations, how fools and evildoers will not prosper in the long run but those who wait on God will inherit the earth, and how having a foolish child brings grief. It emphasizes that true love and happiness comes from having God as our Father and agape love, rather than temporary romantic love, and choosing to be happy in God will act as medicine.

1) Jesus says the most important commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.

3) Loving God means obeying his commands passionately and personally, and this love for God naturally leads to loving others as well.
This document discusses the fifth petition of the Lord's Prayer - "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." It explains that God forgives by restoring our relationship with Him, dropping all charges against us, waiving the penalty for our sins, and paying the penalty for our sins Himself through Jesus. It then discusses the importance of forgiving others as God forgives us, noting that if we do not forgive others God will not forgive us. Various types and aspects of forgiveness between people are also outlined from scripture.

3) The document warns against loving the world or the things in it, saying it is impossible to love both God and the world. It describes the world as excluding God and drawing people's hearts away from him.
This document discusses rebuilding broken bonds of fellowship with God and others through reconciliation. It begins by summarizing the rebuilding of the temple in Ezra and the call to return to God in Malachi. It then examines how sin breaks fellowship with God but that through Jesus' sacrifice, we can be recreated as new beings and restore fellowship. It notes reconciliation with others requires addressing wrongs, forgiving others as God forgave us, and maintaining right relationships through love. The conclusion urges examining one's relationships with God and others to rebuild any broken bonds of fellowship.
This document discusses the concepts of accountability and responsibility from a biblical perspective. It provides several bible verses related to these topics. It summarizes the biblical story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt to the promised land of Canaan and how they were held accountable for their rebellion against God. The document examines what true accountability looks like beyond just outward behaviors to inward motivations and desires. It questions how we can better stir each other up to love and good works through accountability relationships.
The document discusses Paul's teachings on exercising spiritual gifts from Romans 12:6-21. It provides commentary on several key points:
1) Christians should use their spiritual gifts, such as prophesying, serving, teaching, exhorting, giving, ruling, and showing mercy, according to the proportion of faith given by God.
2) Believers should show sincere love for one another, preferring others over oneself. They should also generously share with those in need and welcome others hospitably.
3) Christians are called to live peaceably with all, not taking revenge or responding to evil with more evil, but overcoming evil with good by showing love even to enemies.
The document discusses how to love one another as God loves us. It says God loves us unconditionally, forever, and by forgiving our sins. We are commanded to love each other in the same way. We should elevate others by being genuinely interested in them, giving sincere appreciation and compliments, making them feel important, encouraging one another, and being respectful of others.
1) The document discusses the serious and deadly nature of sin, noting that sin separates us from God.
2) It explains that sin comes from three sources: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
3) The solution to sin is found in Jesus, who died to pay for our sins so that through repentance and baptism, we can receive forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Discerning God’s will when God seems silentJim Hsia
"Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD." - Psalms 27:14
There are times in our life when God doesn't answer our prayers. What should be our response when we are waiting for God? Rev. Dr. Ken Fong
Presented at West Coast Chinese Christian Conference, December 2018.
Mt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mk 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Act 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Mt 13:15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Act 20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Rom 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
This document discusses the benefits of being part of a local church congregation. It outlines three main benefits: 1) Worship gives encouragement as Christians support and stimulate one another, 2) Worship gives enjoyment, as gathering with others is a privilege and blessing, not a burden, 3) Worship gives endurance, as enduring in the Christian faith requires drawing near to God with others and looking to Jesus as an example of enduring. The local church is where Christians can find these benefits of encouragement, enjoyment, and endurance to help them in their faith.
Rom 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
The document discusses the Beatitude of "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness." It explains that this refers to having a strong desire and appetite for righteousness that is needed to sustain one's spiritual life. Specifically:
1) One must have a "proper appetite" for righteousness and God's word, rather than worldly things.
2) One must have the "proper attitude" of prioritizing obedience to God over men, as exemplified by Joseph and early Christians.
3) One must have the "proper acquaintances" by avoiding friendship with the world and being separate from unrighteousness. True Christians should seek to help others become friends of God rather than just being friends with
Heb 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.
Jn 12:42-43 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Col 3:1-2 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Mt 17:20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
This document discusses two stories from Luke 18 about maintaining faith and humility. The first story is about a persistent widow who petitions an unjust judge for justice, teaching that people ought to always pray and not lose heart. The second story contrasts a Pharisee who boasts of his righteousness with a tax collector who humbly asks for God's mercy. Both stories teach that the key is to rely on God through prayer and faith, rather than finding fault in others or exalting oneself. The conclusion exhorts the reader to focus on having faith in God rather than faultfinding, and to change oneself through humility before trying to change the world.
The document outlines God's plan of salvation according to scripture as involving five steps: 1) Hearing the word of God, 2) Believing in Jesus, 3) Repenting of sins, 4) Confessing faith in Jesus, and 5) Being baptized for the remission of sins. It emphasizes that while people have come up with many plans of salvation, there is only one plan given by God in the Bible. It encourages examining whether one has truly obeyed God's biblical plan of salvation or been deceived by human-made plans.
God is everlasting, existing outside of time. He is glorious in power and authority, as shown by His presence on Mount Sinai. God is also gracious, showing mercy and grace by sending Jesus to die for humanity's sins. Finally, God alone is intrinsically good - He defines what is right and wrong. The document examines scripture to showcase God's eternal nature and qualities of glory, grace and goodness as the supreme being.
This document discusses the difference between repentance and reporting. It defines repentance as feeling sincere regret and remorse about one's wrongdoings that leads to a change in actions and thoughts. Reporting is simply giving an account of something observed without genuine regret. The Bible describes repentance as having three parts: showing sorrow for sins, stopping sinful behaviors, and starting righteous service. True repentance involves a life transformation where one turns away from sin and toward God through their deeds. The document encourages examining one's own fruits to determine if they have truly repented or just reported about spiritual matters.
The document discusses the birth of Jesus Christ and why he came. It argues that Jesus was born and came specifically for humanity. Key points made include:
- Jesus was born and came for us according to prophecies and promises in the Bible, though we are unworthy.
- God had a plan of redemption from the beginning that involved sending his Son, according to his providence and sovereignty.
- God perfectly presented Jesus' birth through his providential plan and the proclamation of angels, showing he is in control of all things.

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

312 A Wise Woman of Abel Beth Maakah Saves The Town
Be not overcome of evil but ...
1.
2. Be Not Overcome of Evil, but
Overcome Evil with Good!
Rom 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor
what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you;
bless and do not curse.
Rom 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have
regard for good things in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but
overcome evil with good.
3. One thing that has always stood out
to be about the Bible is that it
definitely was not written by ordinary
men!
▪ There is no way that men would have
come up with some of the things found in
this book!
▪ Everything in us goes against some of
what is written in this book!
▸“Love your enemy” but I have to get him
before he gets me!
4. In our lesson today we are going to be
looking at one of these teachings that
seems to go against every fiber of our
being!
▪ Knowing what to do, and really doing it are
a lot different from one another, and this
lesson is one we all know we should be
doing, but often struggle to do it!
▪ It is our hope & prayer that this lesson will
help prepare us to put into practice this
principle!
5. It is only after we learn to practice
this principle that we will be able to
love others as Jesus loves us!
▪ Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own
love toward us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.
▪ John 13:34 A new commandment I give to
you, that you love one another; as I have
loved you, that you also love one another.
▪ Without the self-giving sacrifice of Christ,
none of us could overcome! (2 Cor. 5:18-21)
6. I. The Result!
▪ We usually end with the result, but today we
want to begin with it! (Rom. 12:21)
▸ This verse is the last verse in a chapter
that is dealing with “overcoming the world!”
vs.2
▪ This principle begins in verse 9 and
continues down to verse 21!
▸ Key verses in the passage that all teach
this to be our focus! (Rom. 12:9, 14, 17 &
21)
7. This is found throughout the Bible!
▪ Pr 20:22 Do not say, "I will recompense
evil"; Wait for the LORD, and He will save
you.
▪ 1Thess 5:15 See that no one renders evil
for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is
good both for yourselves and for all.
▪ 1Pet 3:9 not returning evil for evil or
reviling for reviling, but on the contrary
blessing, knowing that you were called to
this, that you may inherit a blessing.
8. We are to do good to others
because God is good to us, not
because others are good to us!
▪ Mt 5:44-48 "But I say to you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you, do good to those who
hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you
and persecute you, "that you may be sons of your
Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the
evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and
on the unjust. "And if you greet your brethren only,
what do you do more than others? Do not even the
tax collectors do so? "Therefore you shall be perfect,
just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
9. II. The Response!
We are to respond to evil with good!
▪ This is often not our first response, this is often
rather a choice we must make!
▪ The world says to do to others as they have
done to us! Not as you would have them do to
you! These are 2 very difference responses!
▸One responds according to what was done to
them!
▸One responds despite what others have
done!
10. Rom 12:20 Therefore "If your enemy is
hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give
him a drink; For in so doing you will
heap coals of fire on his head."
▪ Have you ever wondered how this works?
▪ Keeping in mind the verse that follows, it
cannot mean that we are trying to hurt him, but
rather than we are trying to help!
▪ Have you ever been mean to someone and
they respond with open arms & love and you
feel an inch tall afterwards!
11. III. The Reward!
▪ Imagine what would happen if every
Christian learned this principle & learned to
practice it, imagine the countless doors that
would be opened to teach others!
▪ It has been said that “people don't care
how much you know, until the know how
much you care!”
▪ Maybe you have heard this one “kill them
with kindness!”
12. Notice how this works!
▪ Tit 2:7-8 in all things showing yourself to be
a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing
integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound
speech that cannot be condemned, that one
who is an opponent may be ashamed, having
nothing evil to say of you.
▪ 1Pe 2:12 having your conduct honorable
among the Gentiles, that when they speak
against you as evildoers, they may, by your
good works which they observe, glorify God in
the day of visitation.
13. Conclusion:
▪ Every day that we live in this world, we are
often given opportunities to practice this!
▪ “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil
with good!”
▪ Have you come to know the love of God in
your life? Have you come to trust Him with your
salvation? Have you come to learn to love as
He loves?
▪ If you are a Christian, then let us learn to
overcome the evil in the world by being a
beacon of light!
