Mark. 12:30 “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' There is no other commandment greater than these." ” God want to reveal his love to us and his eternal plan, so he give us the Bible, to allow us to understand his mind, and great commandment is the core of the Bible, so if we understand it and when we read the Bible we will have a deeper understanding, since great commandment is so important we’re going to have a deeper discussion about it

2. Preface
• Mark. 12:30 “And you shall love the LORD your God with all

3. When we call LORD, what should be
our attitude
• Luke. 14:26 “‘If anyone comes to Me and does
not hate his father and mother, wife and children,
brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he
cannot be My disciple.”
• But we should be aware: Not everyone call Him
LORD is on the way of heavenly train, since GOD
say:
• Matt. 7:21 “‘Not everyone who says to Me, ’Lord,
Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he
who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

4. Love LORD, your GOD
• Since HE is the LORD of heaven and earth, He
create everything
• Gen. 1:1 “In the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth.”
• John. 1:3 “All things were made through Him,
and without Him nothing was made that was
made.”
• So, GOD is the source of everything, but

5. How does GOD see us?
• Jer 17:9 The heart is a twisted thing, not to be
searched out by man: who is able to have
knowledge of it?
• Isa 53:6 We all went wandering like sheep; going
every one of us after his desire; and the Lord put
on him the punishment of us all.
• You can see we are not deserve his love, in
response, how to love GOD
• Is it taking care of sick, provide a lot of animal
sacrifice, or helping the poor, Let’s check the
Bible

6. Love GOD, keep his words
• John. 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps
them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be
loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself
to him." ”
• John. 14:23 “Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone
loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love
him, and We will come to him and make Our home with
him.”
• John. 14:24 “He who does not love Me does not keep My
words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the
Father's who sent Me.”
• From the above, that GOD is making it clear to love GOD is
to keep his commandments

7. With all, count your heart
• The worldly “with all” is observing from outside :
totally compliant. However, GOD can see our heart, our
thought and mind is part of his calculation. However he
is merciful as shown below:
• 2Cor. 8:12 “For if there is first a willing mind, it is
accepted according to what one has, and not according
to what he does not have.”
• Jer 17:10 I the Lord am the searcher of the heart, the
tester of the thoughts, so that I may give to every man
the reward of his ways, in keeping with the fruit of his
doings.

8. With all, count your heart
• Since, there are so many of his requirement, we
can not do it all perfectly. However GOD is full of
grace, that is why GOD said “with all your”. It is
just like three years old, can only lift 3 pound of
weight, however, 25 years young man could lift
50 pounds of weight. It is like returned prodigal
son in the Bible story, even he still in his dirty
clothes and smell like pig, GOD is receiving him
wholeheartedly. So, GOD is NOT requesting
everyone reaching a certain standard , and it is
varied by individual. So,

9. How to love neighbor as yourself
• What is love your neighbor？
• John. 13:34 “A new commandment I give to
you, that you love one another; as I have
loved you, that you also love one another.”
• How does Jesus love us?
• Stop wind and calm sea: By his word
• Make Lazarus coming alive : By his word
• Heal leper : By his word

10. How is Jesus love us
• Make cripple walk : By his word
• Pave the road to eternal life : Use all he has
including life, as shown below
• John. 10:18 “No one takes it from Me, but I lay it
down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I
have power to take it again. This command I have
received from My Father." ”
• So, we can see he went to cross is follow GOD
command, so, when we learn from him is not
sacrificing on the cross, but to learn how to abide
in GOD’s word

11. Love yourself, you abide in GOD word
• What is command regarding yourself
• Gal. 6:5 “For each one shall bear his own load.”
• So, GOD want everyone to take care yourself.
However, the world tells us we should be selfless,
should not be selfish. However, what is the line
between selfless and selfish. So, this allows
everyone can accuse others and they are the
judge. Hence, there is no peace, So GOD’s way is
good, because:

12. Love yourself, you abide in GOD word
• Gal. 6:2 “Bear one another's burdens, and so
fulfill the law of Christ.”
• So, if see other people have burden, then you
should extend your hand, even your enemy, you
should have this kind of attitude as below:
• Pro 24:17 Do not be glad at the fall of your hater,
and let not your heart have joy at his downfall:
• Pro 24:18 For fear that the Lord may see it, and it
may be evil in his eyes, and his wrath may be
turned away from him.

13. Love others, let others abide in GOD
word
• Matt. 16:24 “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone
desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and
take up his cross, and follow Me.”
• So, when we follow Jesus, we should abandon our
worldly thought that is contradicting to GOD way
• Matt. 16:25 “For whoever desires to save his life will
lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find
it.”
• The purpose is abandon worldly life and transform to a
new eternal life
• Love others is let others to abide in GOD’s word if you
could help

difficult
• Pro 15:1 By a soft answer wrath is turned away,
but a bitter word is a cause of angry feelings.
• 1Thess. 5:15 “See that no one renders evil for evil
to anyone, but always pursue what is good both
for yourselves and for all.”
• Rom. 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but
overcome evil with good.”
• Rom. 12:19 “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves,
but rather give place to wrath; for it is written,
"Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. ”

• Pro 4:23 And keep watch over your heart with
all care; so you will have life.
• Gal. 6:5 “For each one shall bear his own
load.”
• Gal. 6:2 “Bear one another's burdens, and so
fulfill the law of Christ.”
• Col. 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily,
as to the Lord and not to men,”

• Phil. 2:14 “Do all things without complaining and
disputing,”
• 2Cor. 1:5 “For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us,
so our consolation also abounds through Christ.”
• Matt. 7:1 “‘Judge not, that you be not judged.”
• Matt. 6:15 “But if you do not forgive men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses.”
• Matt. 12:36 “But I say to you that for every idle word
men may speak, they will give account of it in the day
of judgment.”

• Eph. 4:29 “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your
mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that
it may impart grace to the hearers. ”
• Matt. 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless
those who curse you, do good to those who hate you,
and pray for those who spitefully use you and
persecute you,”
• Gen. 1:29 “And God said, “See, I have given you every
herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the
earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it
shall be for food.”

• Gen. 2:24 “Therefore a man shall leave his
father and mother and be joined to his wife,
and they shall become one flesh.”
• James. 4:4 “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do
you not know that friendship with the world is
enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants
to be a friend of the world makes himself an
enemy of God.”
