7. The Challenge
 A US company developed a lateral flow test using third party gold. The volumes
purchased were small - 100mls.
 The development was successful, optimisation of the test was completed with
transfer to manufacturing
 A larger batch of gold was ordered for the validation - the tests failed
 The test was sent back to R+D for troubleshooting, after a month it was proven
that the conjugate used in validation was not performing the same as the smaller
batches …
