Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

2. Introduction
• February saw Panjshir Province in Afghanistan
struck by disaster, as what had been a mild winter
turned into a huge snowstorm, creating an
avalanche described by the province’s governor as
the worst in 30 years. Some 100 homes, as well as
numerous local mosques and schools, were buried in
snow, and thanks to snow-choked roads, isolated by
the avalanche. In response, Afghan Wireless
Communication Company (AWCC) founder Ehsan
Bayat directed his charity, the Bayat Foundation, to
help.
3. Bayat Foundation
• The Foundation provided $100,000 in emergency aid to
support the region’s relief effort. Additionally, AWCC
provided networking equipment that will aid emergency
workers and affected families in communicating, despite the
remoteness of some of the affected villages.
The Bayat Foundation’s aid in Panjshir Province
demonstrates the organization’s continued support of Afghans
in need. To date, the Foundation has overseen more than 200
projects across the country, focusing especially on creating
sustainable water infrastructure, successful cultural
programs, and educational initiatives. Those interested in
helping fund the mission of the Bayat Foundation can visit
