2. Theme and sub-topic
The main theme of the video must be “Technology in everyday
life”
Based on the above theme a specific or general subtopic may be
chosen
Examples of specific subtopics: Mobile technology, cloud
computing, home-use medical testers
Examples of general subtopics: Technology in the classroom,
technology in business.

3. Main elements of the
video
Videos can include motion clips, animations, text, audio
and images.
In case the clips/images in the video were not made or
taken by the team members, suitable credits must be
mentioned
There must be at least some original elements in the
video apart from text (made or shot by the team
members)

4. Member participation
All members must make at least some original
contribution to the video.
This can be in the form of original videography,
photography, voice-overs or speaking/acting on-screen

5. Video editing and quality
Videos and audio can be edited and shot using any
device and on any platform
Quality of audio and video must be clear enough to
understand the video, if not of high quality
All kinds of effects may be used and creativity will be
given extra points but more weightage will be given to

6. Overall message of the
video
The video must effectively bring out at least one of these messages:
i) Technology is something inevitable and inescapable in everyday life
ii) Technology has both negative and positive effects but if used wisely and morally, can be
of maximum benefit to all living things
iii) Technology is evolving to benefit everyday life and is constantly upgrading itself and its
capabilities
iv) When coupled with old-school methods of performing work, technology increases
speed, productivity and success
v) Technology based-crimes faced in the use of everyday technology and how they can be
overcome
If the video does not provide any of these messages, but still provides any other message
in an effective manner, full consideration will be given for points.
