Addition is the term used to
describe adding two or more
numbers together. The plus
sign '+' is used to denote an
addition: 2 + 2. The + can be
used multiple times as
required: 2 + 2 + 2.
ADDITION;
FIRSTLY ADD ONLY ONE NUMBER WITH
ONE,TWO OR THREE’
5 + 1 = 1 + 5 = 6
7 + 11 = 11 + 7 = 18
4 + 100 = 100 + 4 = 104
Larger Numbers: Use Addition in Columns;
To add larger numbers use Column Addition
Names;
Other names for
Addition are Sum, Plus,
Increase, Total
The numbers to be added together are called the "Addends":

4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11
How to use
Example: 3 + 5
Go down to the "3" row
then along to the "5" column,
and there is your answer! "8"
You could also go down to “4"
and along to “6",
or along to "3" and down to “4"
Count From A Number Upwards
Example: 6 + 3
Addition Tips and Tricks
Jump Strategy
Example: 4 + 12
Adding Up To Ten
Example: 7 + 8 + 3 + 2 + 5
7+3 is 10,
8+2 is another 10, which makes 20,
Plus 5 is 25
Do The Tens Last
Example: 14+5
Break the "14" into Tens and Units: 10 + 4
Add the Units: 4 + 5 = 9
Now add the Tens: 10 + 9 = 19
Think "4 plus 5 is 9, plus 10 is 19"
