Welcome
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
TRAINING
What is BLS?
• Basic Life Support, or BLS, refers to the type of
care that first-responders (any trained
individual), healthcare providers and public
safety professionals provide to anyone who is
experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress
or an obstructed airway.
• It requires knowledge and skills in
cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using
automated external defibrillators (AED) and
relieving airway obstructions in patients of every
age.
Why BLS Training Is
Important
?
Cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in India
with more than 21 lakh out-of-hospital cases
diagnosed by medical professionals every year. Yet,
in most cases cardiac arrest can be reversed if the
victim receives treatment (CPR and a defibrillator)
within a few minutes. The key is having someone
on hand with training in how to treat a cardiac
arrest, which can be easily obtained from
companies like ACCM Consultancy Services. The lay
population has insufficient or incorrect knowledge of
BLS, thus putting the victim at risk. Over 90% do not
know how to perform techniques that make
respiration easier, while almost 1% know about
proper CPR techniques. Thus, it is crucial to train
people on this extremely important skill.

1.While BLS procedure can be
very useful, it is important to
provide it the right way! For this
reason, great emphasis is placed
on BLS training provided by
professionals.
2.Procedures like Chest
Compressions Techniques or CPR
require training and practice
under supervision of
professionals.
3.Providing RESCUE
BREATHING might look
easy, but it needs proper
training and practice.
4.The procedures must be
taken very seriously, as
improper techniques can
cause further harm and
injury such as fracture of
ribs or chest bone.
5.Hands on training prepares
individual for the real
emergencies and provide the
skills required to use the
emergency equipment.
6.The procedures must be taken
very seriously, as improper
techniques can cause further
harm and injury such as fracture
of ribs or chest bone.

Editor's Notes

  • #3 This template can be used as a starter file for presenting training materials in a group setting. Sections Right-click on a slide to add sections. Sections can help to organize your slides or facilitate collaboration between multiple authors. Notes Use the Notes section for delivery notes or to provide additional details for the audience. View these notes in Presentation View during your presentation. Keep in mind the font size (important for accessibility, visibility, videotaping, and online production) Coordinated colors Pay particular attention to the graphs, charts, and text boxes. Consider that attendees will print in black and white or grayscale. Run a test print to make sure your colors work when printed in pure black and white and grayscale. Graphics, tables, and graphs Keep it simple: If possible, use consistent, non-distracting styles and colors. Label all graphs and tables.
  • #4 Give a brief overview of the presentation. Describe the major focus of the presentation and why it is important. Introduce each of the major topics. To provide a road map for the audience, you can repeat this Overview slide throughout the presentation, highlighting the particular topic you will discuss next.
