as Russia and the Philippines) were more likely to
enter early stage entrepreneurship when compared
to those of higher income countries (such
as Belgium, Sweden and Australia ). A significant
factor that may play a role in this disparity can be
contributed to the fact that women from low income
countries often seek an additional means of income
to support themselves and their families. Overall, 40

Obstacles Women Face Entering the Corporate World
Women face a lot of difficulties when entering into the
corporate world as leaders.
They are not paid equally, nor can they climb as high as men
on the corporate ladder.
Unless there are incentive to have changes and this is why the
progress is slow towards equality for women in the corporate
world.
Even in the next generation of women, they will have to prove
that they can do the same type of jobs as well as men.
Although, some women feel the need to change their attitudes
about equality into today’s society.
Women need to be more aggressive in the corporate world in

discrimination because typical female
jobs often offer little advancement or are
not adaptable to the needs of working
mothers.

for women and do not accurately reflect

Rescue
* The second obstacle women face is their highly developed
sense of responsibility combined with their concern for and
loyalty to the team.
* While these characteristics lead to high coworker ratings,
the downside is that women can easily get mired in details in
attempting to make sure everything is handled correctly.
* Women's orientation toward the group causes them to take
on too much responsibility, moving them into a rescuing and
mothering mode.
* Because they don't focus time and energy on key leverage
points, they work harder and are significantly more tired than
male managers, and are probably repeating the same pattern
at home.

Because they have done their homework, women
may dig in their heels when challenged by less
informed coworkers.
