National identity schemes - digital identity - national ID - eGovernmentEric BILLIAERT
http://www.gemalto.com/govt/documents/national-identity-schemes
Firstly, the national identity scheme indicates the roles of the sovereign state with regard to digital identity:
Is the state a regulator?
An issuer of sovereign identities or the digital derivatives of these identities?
What are its responsibilities within the chosen ecosystem in terms of organization, data and applications, and infrastructure?
Next, the national identity scheme establishes the underlying principles and operating methods of the digital identity ecosystem. It describes the main systems and flows linked to the use of digital identities to access services, authenticate users, and exchange and verify data linked to the service requested.
Where necessary, it provides useful details on the approved identity types and trust levels supported by the ID ecosystem. For example, commercial or transactional uses for identity may have functionalities distinct from those associated with authentication in the public domain.
It is clear that the deployment of digital identities under different national frameworks represents a dual challenge for nations, which must manage their sovereignty in the digital space while improving services to companies and citizens, in other words the framework for market interactions, and ultimately the healthy operation of the economy.
Yet reconciling market demands and sovereignty is no simple task. It requires constructive negotiation between their respective objectives.
A good example is provided by the European Union. Here, national identity schemes must be viewed in terms of both the actions of individual states, and the implementation of the eIDAS regulation (which may indicate future convergence), as well as the objectives of the European Digital Single Market and European Digital Agenda 2020 strategies.
In the end, these actions surrounding digital identity demonstrate a desire to rekindle economic growth through the more effective use of digital services, and build a single digital space of trust, offering a high level of security, interoperability and data protection.

Creating a Digital Banking Strategy - 01.23.15Calvin Turner
Today, the new buzzword in business is “Digital Strategy”. The problem, however, is that if you ask a group of business professionals to define "Digital Strategy" to you, depending on the industry, who you ask, and the ages of the respondents (yes, the generational perspective makes a difference), you will likely get a wide variety of different responses to that simple question. To illustrate this point, in a December 2014, Digital Banking research study published by Celent, when banking executives were asked what “Digital” means for them, they responded with a diverse – and sometimes inconsistent – set of answers. But invariably, mobile devices and social media are usually included somewhere in the answer. So, let's begin the discussion by clearing up a common misconception: an organization's Digital Strategy is NOT enabling/allowing customers to use mobile devices to communicate and conduct business. They are certainly components of a Digital Strategy, but the true definition of a Digital Strategy is much broader than that.
motivation skills for teachers. it will help to the young teachers for success in the field of education and training. it gives the student engagement, motivation for good learning environment.
Motivation is like an accelerator in a vehicle. A vehicle keeps moving at the pace decided by its accelerator. The moment accelerator is reduced, vehicle’s speed reduces and it may come to a standstill if there is no further acceleration. Alternatively, if brakes are applied, there will be an abrupt reduction in the speed of the vehicle and it may come to a standstill.
This is true to human beings as well. As long as they are motivated they keep working and producing extraordinary results. The moment there is a drop in their acceleration (motivation), results start diminishing. Of course, applying brakes (dissatisfaction/demotivation) certainly bring them to a halt. The only difference is that unlike a vehicle, human beings have different types of accelerator and brake.
Therefore, the book, Why My Horse Doesn't Drink' will help readers to identify the ways that may accelerate or slow down the speed of their team members. Chapter ‘How to motivate’ talks about the points that accelerate and chapter ‘How not to demotivate’ explains the factors that may work as brakes to performance. Thereby readers will be able to make best use of their vehicle (Team Members).
