The land of stories

Bangladesh, a land of exhilarating mix with fascinating history, vibrant cul
tures, panoramic beauties, historical ruins, flora and fauna, hills and forest
s, sandy sea beaches and wildlife.The world’s longest sandy beach- Coxsba
zar, the world’s single largest mangrove forest- Sundarbans, Oceanic Kuak
ata, Coral island-Saint martins, the green roof of the country-Bandarban,
a land of colorful Indigenous groups and Lake City-Rangamati, the scenic
beauty of the hilly regions, historic and archaeological sites etc. are of life
time experience for anyone !
4. History behind Bangladesh
Before 1947 Present India, Pakistan & Bangladesh was together as INDIAN sub-
continental.
Then it is partitioned in 2 states: India & Pakistan.
based on religion.
5. But the PAKISTAN has 2 different states in it over thousand miles far from each other.
Those are : EAST PAKISTAN & WEST PAKISTAN.
Present Bangladesh was named East Pakistan that time.
Though each of those was a part o a country , but West pakistan has always neglecti
ng East pakistan. They wanted to RULE on bangla.
7. The world surprised by Pakistan a
rmy's brutal campaign to suppress
its breakaway eastern province in
1971.

-ing a part of this Bloody event!
8. And the peoples of East Pak has breaked out. India ( Bangladesh’s neighbor country) was
the first country that declared East Pak as Bangladesh & stand with Bangladeshi freedom
fighters. Though from the initial stage of WAR India was supporting Freedom fighters with
weapons, trainings, medication & taking in millions of refugees from Bangladesh.
9. Whole world was supporting Bangladesh
George Harrison, former lead gutarist of
BEATLE ( american band) was arranged
a concert for raising fund for Bangladeshi
refugees . The concert was named
CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH
10. And the VICTORY cames
After 9 months war episodes , Over 93
thousand Pakistani troops surrendered
to the Indian forces & Bangladesh Liber
ation forces on 16th December.

Mosque
The Sixty Dome Mosque,a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is
a mosque in Bangladesh, the largest in the country from the
Sultanate period. It has been described as "the most impressi
ve Muslim monuments in the whole of the Indian subcontinen
37. About Sundarban
• Area: Sunderban, the land of bountless beauty and magnif
icient landscapes and named after the ubiquitous Sundari
trees found there in large numbers, is the largest single bl
ock of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world and h
as the honour of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site &
a Biosphere Reserve. The Sundarban forest covers around
10,000 sq.km of which a major portion is in Bangladesh, w
hile the Indian portion is estimated at around 4264 square
km.
