Bananas are actually plants that grow in clusters on stalks up to 6 meters high. They are harvested green and transported to ripening rooms where they turn yellow within 5 days. Bananas are a staple food in tropical regions due to their nutrients and easy digestion. The Cavendish banana is the most widely produced, while plantains are used for cooking. India is the largest producer while Chiquita and Dole control much of the export industry from Central America and the Caribbean.

The pineapple is a tropical and subtropical fruit .
Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is one of the commercially important fruit crops of India.
Total annual world production is estimated at 14.6 MT of fruits.
India is the fifth largest producer of pineapple with an annual output of about 1.2 MT.
common throughout the Bromeliaceae but Ananus is typically diploid (2n=2X=50)while pseudananas is tetraploid (2n=4X=100).Some triplod genotype with 2n=3x=75(e.g. Cayenne BR59,Spanish GU75-2 and DOS indios BR47)have also reported to exist.
Other leading producers are Thailand, Philippines, Brazil, China, Nigeria, Mexico, Indonesia, Colombia and USA.Cultivation of pineapple originated in Brazil.
Since litchi originated in China and it has been under cultivation there for more than 2200 years, more than 200 litchi varieties exist in China.
The variation in climatic factors, sometimes leads to greater fluctuation in yield of a litchi orchard.
Therefore, a right variety should be selected for plantation at a particular area though, all the litchi varieties have a wide range of adaptability; yield, fruit quality and acceptability may be region or location specific.
There is a huge demand for Mango worldwide. Hence, exporting to other countries we earn foreign currency. And, especially in Bangladesh, the suitable climate and soil condition is a positive sign of Mango cultivation. With the help of cut-edged technology here is a possibility of increased production.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
3. physical features of a banana plant.
They´re actually plants.
They´re made up of stalks.
A stalk can be about 30 cm.
A banana plant can grow up to 6 meters in height.
It has up to 20 long and wide leaves.
4. physical features of a banana plant.
Bananas hang in clusters.
10 to 20 bananas.
A warm tropical climate.
Year after planting.
5. Harvest
Bananas are harvested while they are still green. In this
state the banana's flesh is white and cannot be eaten.
The green fruits are taken to the nearest port, where
they are put on container ships with cooling containers
on board.
When the bananas arrive at their destination they are
loaded onto trucks or railway cars and brought to sellers
who store them in special ripening rooms. From this time
on it takes bananas about five days to ripen and get the
yellow colour and taste we all know. As the fruit ripens
the flesh also becomes sweet.
6. Banana as a staple diet
In many tropical regions of Africa, South America and Asia,
bananas are a main food for the population.
They have many nutrients that people need. In addition to 75
% water, a banana contains sugar, proteins and vitamins. It gives
you quick energy and can be digestedfairly easily.
In the western world bananas are eaten as snacks in-between
meals or together with cereals. In other countries they are used
to make wine or beer.
7. Types of bananas
There are up to a thousand
different kinds of bananas. The
Cavendish banana is the most
widely produced and eaten fruit
in the world. Bananas that are
used for cooking are called
plantains.
8. Economic Value
Bananas are the fourth most valuable food crop in the world,
after wheat, rice and corn.
India is the world’s largest banana producer, followed by
Uganda, China, the Philippines, Ecuador and Brazil.
About 140 million tons are harvested annually, however only a
small percentage of the actual production is exported.
9. Banana Trade
Today the banana trade is a 5 billion dollar industry.
Large companies like Chiquita and Dole control most of the
banana exporting industry. Especially in Central America and the
Caribbean workers suffer from poor working conditions and get low
wages.
For decades EU countries preferred bananas from their former
colonies in Africa and the Caribbean and placed taxes on
imported South American bananas.
10. Fun Facts
It is impossible to keep the mouth
closed while you have consumed
sprite and a banana, since a reaction
produces to itself efervecente that
prevents you from containing the gas
and you might be sick.
Uganda is the major consumer of
banana in the world for person, each
one consumes 500 pounds a year.
The Americans eat mas bananas that
any other fruit, with an index of
consumption of 26.6 pounds per year.
Approximately 1000 different types of
bananas exist in the world nowadays,
but the majority they are uneatable.
The bananas are naturally radioactive,
this owes to that they contain
relatively great quantity of potassium
