The Avinc Puma AE is a compact and lightweight unmanned aerial vehicle designed by AeroVironment for the US Special Operations Command. It captures high-resolution imagery and video from the battlefield and transmits it to a ground control station within a range of 15km. Powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, the Puma AE can operate day and night and perform missions like battle damage assessment and maritime operations. It has a flight time of 2 hours, flies at up to 500 feet altitude, and can take off and land automatically using GPS or inertial navigation.
