About The Course
Let’s write a book! And make a podcast!
This project-based learning class is a follow-up on the
design thinking class that connects to students' future
trajectories as educators, innovators and school
founders. Students will collectively and collaboratively
create a book about 'Strong Schools' that covers
aspects of founding/leading/teaching in a secondary
school.
As a publishing platform we will be using ‘Pressbooks’,
an e-book tool that allows to embed video content,
photos, and activities.

“Academic publishing of journal articles
has an unusual business model: those who
carry out a significant part of the work
(authoring, reviewing, and editing) often
receive no remuneration for it, and indeed
may need to pay to see the results in print
or to gain online access to the journal.
Models where access is free and open
appear to be gaining traction and indicate
an alternative path”.
