Authors in Chelsea is a 6-year program that brings nationally recognized authors to Chelsea schools to do writing workshops with students and an evening event for the community. Over the years it has expanded from 2 authors visiting 2 schools to 3 authors visiting all Chelsea elementary schools and the middle school, impacting over 1,000 students. It is funded by various grants and aims to encourage reading, writing and learning from professional authors.
