Brown IPC Leadership Update of Sept 9 2014
1. September 9, 2014
Dear Black Alumni,
On behalf of the new officers for the 2014 – 2016 administration, we would like to thank you for
electing us to lead the Inman Page Black Alumni Council (IPC). We sincerely look forward to
serving the Black community of alumni, students, faculty, and staff for the next two years.
During the 250th Anniversary Fall Celebration, the new Board of Governors, which is comprised
of myself, Sheryl Brissett Chapman ’71 (President-Elect), Jonathan Speed ’84 (Treasurer), and
Justin Coles ’11 (Secretary), will meet to discuss objectives and goals for 2014-2015.
The IPC Board and the TWC are hosting an Alumni-Student Mixer on
Friday, September 26th from 5:00 to 8:00pm in Alumnae Hall located on the
Pembroke Green. This will provide the Black community with an
opportunity to meet new alumni and student leadership as well as TWC
staff.
We hope to see you on campus over the course of the weekend!
Anniversary celebration details are available at 250.brown.edu/fall-celebration.
The weekend includes the dedication of a slavery memorial as
well as recognition of prominent Black alumni. More details to come.
