Session two of a forum exploring how invasive species impact the environment, what policy solutions are needed to prevent new invaders, and how science-based stewardship can be used for targeted management.
Presenter: Linda Rohleder, Director of Land Stewardship for the NY/NJ Trail Conference and
Coordinator for Lower Hudson PRISM
Hey guys,
I'm a sophomore at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka and an amateur slide maker.
I made these for a recent case competition which I won. It was for The Communication Summit '2016, organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum. The idea was to come up with a plan to rid the metropolitan city/cities of Bangladesh of Municipality Solid Wastes (MSW) within a given budget amount, and in/under 10 slides.
Your comments, suggestions and critical views are most welcome.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport promotes this initiative for teachers who want to visit European schools or European teachers who want to be hosted by a Spanish school.

“It doesn’t get done in a day. Enabling Project Based Learning with the iPad”
Project Based Learning is not a new concept to teachers and learners. Project Based Learning allows a student to work over an extended period of time answering a driving
question. The question can be so deep that it requires students to create a project to share their findings with others.
In a traditional classroom, a Project Based Activity can take days or even weeks to complete. The iPad has not only transformed the way that we teach and learn but
has enabled teachers to deliver and manage Project
Based Lessons in a creative, time efficient and effective
way that allows students to critically think, analyse and
present their findings.
Participants of this workshop will leave with a toolkit of
iPad apps such as Tools4Students, Explain Everything,
Creative Book Builder, and resources to assist in the
development of Project Based Lessons in the classroom.
Last year Surrey started a process to infuse Making into the Surrey Learning Culture. Starting the process we provided 2 mini maker kits to every school that was interested in exploring the concept. We spent more than a month developing an ideal set of maker kits to be delivered to 30 schools to transform space and opportunities for learning differently. The Maker Movement has been growing in recent years. The movement is coming to Surrey in a big way. Come learn what we have done to empower teachers to join this movement that involves learning with hands on, tinkering, fixing, building mindsets.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
