This technical bulletin from Volkswagen addresses improper MIL illumination for transmission-related diagnostic trouble codes in 1998-2000 New Beetle, Golf, Jetta, and Cabrio models with automatic transmissions and CAN-Bus. Symptoms include the MIL flashing briefly but not staying on when the transmission goes into limp mode. The bulletin provides transmission control module part numbers and EPROM levels that have been updated with corrected software to properly illuminate the MIL. Technicians are instructed to diagnose transmission issues using repair procedures in the Repair Manual and not replace the TCM unless those procedures require it, as the improper MIL illumination is caused by a programming design deficiency that cannot be corrected.
AUDI A4 B5 1.8L 1996 BADY ODB 01 69 central locking system obdGherghescu Gabriel
The document provides information about the central locking system onboard diagnostic (OBD) functions for Audi vehicles, including:
1. The central locking system has two pneumatic circuits that control different locking points and can be operated using the VAG1551 scan tool for diagnostics.
2. The scan tool can be used to check the control module version, diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) memory, initiate diagnostic test modes, code the control module, and read measuring value blocks to diagnose issues.
3. A DTC table lists potential codes that may appear when checking the DTC memory and provides troubleshooting steps to resolve common problems like short circuits.
The document describes InteliLite® AMF 20 and AMF 25 controllers which are integrated controllers for generator sets operating in standby mode. They meet all requirements for automatic mains failure applications including modem control, user configuration, and full generator set monitoring and protection. Special low temperature versions are also available that allow the display to work down to -30°C. The controllers provide benefits like less wiring and components, an integrated solution, and less engineering and programming. Key features include support for electronic engine controls, comprehensive diagnostics, automatic or manual start/stop, a graphic LCD display, and configurable inputs and outputs.
OBD-II PIDs are diagnostic codes used to request data from a vehicle. The document discusses OBD-II PIDs, how they are used by technicians with scan tools to retrieve data, the different modes of operation, standard PIDs defined in SAE J1979, and examples of data returned for some common PIDs including engine RPM, vehicle speed, and oxygen sensor output.
AUDI A4 B5 1.8L 1996 ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT 96 16 lock cylinder heatingGherghescu Gabriel
This document provides instructions for servicing a lock cylinder heating system. It cautions the user to disconnect the battery ground strap before working on the electrical system. It also notes that the anti-theft radio coding should be determined before disconnecting the battery. After reconnecting the battery, the user should check and activate the vehicle's electrical equipment as outlined in the repair manual or owner's manual.
