The cheetah lives in grasslands and savannas in Asia and Africa. It has long legs and claws that pull in when not in use, allowing it to run extremely fast and make sharp turns despite its slight frame. Cheetahs are the fastest land animals but are in danger of dying out, and typically give birth to litters of 3 or 5 cubs.
