The magazine used several techniques to attract its audience. It offered free tickets to a rock band on the front cover to entice readers to purchase the magazine. The front cover also included a header and footer providing information about articles inside. The contents page was laid out simply and clearly listed artists featured in the magazine, making it easy for readers to find what interested them with little effort.

How did you attract/address your audience?
I attracted my audience by including a plug of an offer for free tickets to go and see a rock
band called ‘Brain’ on the front cover of my magazine. This would have attracted my audience
because they would purchase this magazine just to be able to find out how to win tickets. I
placed it on the front cover of my magazine to immediately draw the reader in.

I also included a header and a footer on my front cover which gives the reader a bit of
information on who they can expect to read about in the magazine.

They can also find out a lot of information on how will be featuring in the magazine by
looking at the contents page. I laid out my contents page very simply and easy to read so that
it is more appealing towards the audience as it doesn’t require a lot of effort to find out who
will be in the magazine.
