- 2. Characters We used characters similar in age to our target audiences, 18-24 year olds. The two girls appear to be young, and relatable to the target audience. The film opens as a door opens, in the midst of action that the audience has no idea about. The little information known about the two girls creates an enigma, particularly when we realise why they have both entered the bathroom and their true intentions.
- 3. Plot The theme of drugs is often recurrent through many teen/social dramas. The topic is often spoken about, but very hidden in society, therefore audiences would be intrigued to watch something so blatantly drug orientated. To many youths, drugs are a common part of an enjoyable social life, they might like to see the dark sides of their enjoyment.
- 4. ‘Niche audiences’ The indie style of the film, and lack of a glamorous Hollywood advertising campaign would attract an audience of cinema-goers that might find the film in an independent screening. The lack of a studio budget to the production would find the film attracting audiences of appreciating cinema fans, respecting film as an art form.
- 5. Word of Mouth The film is intended to be a social commentary, relatable to audiences of youth 18-24. Because of this, those who might have seen the film would hopefully speak highly of it to their friends. This encapsulates a sector of society that might find our film an iconic independent film for younger generations.
