Behavioral Objective –9th grade students are asked to recall the 7reasons why olam habbah isn’t
mentioned in the Torah.

Today we are going to be learning about why
olam habbah is not mentioned in the Torah if it
seems that the purpose of our performance of
mitzvos is to get to olam habbah.

We will strengthen our faith in our belief of
olam habbah by answering why if it is so
important is it not mentioned in the Torah.

1. Break the students up into groups of 2
(some will have 3 people) and have them
learn one reason why olam habbah is not
mentioned in the Torah.
2. They will be asked to write down the
reason they learnt in their group.
3. We will go through the 7 reasons
together, and I will call on those people
who learnt the reason in chavrusah as we
are presenting all 7 reasons to the class.

2. How many days should the miracle of Channukah be according to the Beit Yosef?
3. Why according to the Pnei Yehoshua were they really permitted to use the oil that the
Greeks touched?
4. How do we light the menorah nowadays ie. Do we perform the basic mitzvah?
