Win or Lose---What Not to Do. Common Job Search Myths and Errors By Greg Davi...Greg David
Today's successful job search looks significantly different than it used to and unfortunately most in search mode are unaware of how to have the kind of success available to others who have mastered the "New Model" of job search and advanced to "playing chess" while traditional job seekers continue to play checkers. The game is different, the playing field looks the same but it isn't.
Learning the New Model not only makes a successful job search quick(er), fast(er), and easy(ier), it also helps professionals begin to learn the real process of successful career management which will protect them in the future from being being in transition again, or significantly lessens the time and resources to land in the future from months and months down to days and weeks, if at all. Presented by Greg David (Laka) of Laka & Company. Greg has been in the executive search and human capital advisory marketplace for more than 30 years and has also founded a separately successful firm helping others learn the new model of job search and career management.

Happiness Workshop IV: The Importance of Relationshipsmichael_mascolo
Part of cultivating happiness is the development of meaningful interpersonal relationships. This presentation and workshop explores the ways in which relationships enrich our lives. It examines how can cultivate meaningful relationships that sustain happy lives.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

2. It can be defined as a positive or negative
evaluation of
people, objects, events, activities, ideas or
anything in our environment.
Attitude can be formed from a person’s past
and present.
Attitude is also measurable and changeable
as well as influencing the person’s emotion
and behaviour.
With a BAD attitude you can never have a POSITIVE day
With a POSITIVE attitude you can never have a BAD day
3. It increases productivity
Enhances teamwork
Problem solving approach
Improves productivity
Builds relationship
Reduces stress and
conflicts
Enhances your personality
and growth
5. We treat people and situations in the same
manner as we do with the donkey.
We treat situations in this manner :-
WHAT WE DO GENERALLY !!!
WHAT WE SHOULD DO ACTUALLY !!!
ACTION STOP THINK
and feel guilty about our behaviour…..
THINK STOP ACTION
and you as well as society will feel proud on you.
6. CONSEQUENCES OF OUR NEGATIVE ATTITUDE ARE :-
Experience fear, blame , complain , frustration
Bitterness
Broken relationship
Ego & hurt
Panic & anxiety
High level of stress
No vision, no ideas for success
Boring, unproductive and miserable life
Feel insecure
No imagination, see problems, find faults
No meaningful goals, no plans, no clear direction
vercome your negative attitude
7. STEP 1 : Make DECISION to change
DECIDE : with which person, people, situation, tasks…. You
will change your ATTITUDE.
STEP 2 : Shift your FOCUS
FOCUS on what’s right or wrong.
FOCUS on what you do have v/s what you have don’t.
FOCUS on solutions then on PROBLEMS.
STEP 3 : Be more CURIOUS & CONCERN
Instead of blaming or complaining , be curious to ask… Why this person or
situation is like that?
What can I change here with this person or situation to make it better?
and become “SHE”…
8. STEP 4 : Develop an attitude of GRATITUDE
Find something appreciate in tough time/person/situation.
Whenever you feel down, depressed , frustrated see what can be
acknowledged.
STEP 5 : Believe in YOURSELF
When you think and feel good about YOURSELF …then you are able
to see the same in others too.
Weakness of ATTITUDE
becomes weakness of
CHARACTER.
9. 90 % ATTITUDE
10 % KNOWLEDGE
90 %
10 %
10 %
A study by HARVARD UNIVERSITY found
that when a person gets a job, 90 % of the
time is because of their attitude and only
10 % because of how smart they are and
how many fact and figures they know.
If YOU look at what you do NOT HAVE in your life, you don’t have
ANYTHING …
if you look at what you HAVE in you life, you have
EVERYTHING.
10. You cannot tailor-make the situations in life but you can
tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations.
Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is
going to determine how you're going to live your life.
Character is the result of two things: mental attitude and
the way we spend our time.
Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation
determines what you do. Attitude determines how well
you do it.
12. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive
thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks
extraordinary results.
