Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, similar to hyperkinetic disorder in the ICD-10) is a neurodevelopmental psychiatric disorder in which there are significant problems with executive functions (e.g., attentional control and inhibitory control) that cause attention deficits, hyperactivity, or impulsiveness which is not appropriate for a person's age.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain and results in a variety of inappropriate and maladaptive behaviors. ADHD is not a disease (Kajander 1995) but is a processing deficit that results in children having difficulty with inhibitory control. That is, children with ADHD lack self-control, something they cannot help. In children with ADHD, the parts of the brain that control attention and stop inappropriate behavior are underdeveloped (Barkley 1996; Kajander 1995). ADHD occurs three times more frequently in male students than female students (Reeve et al. 1995) and commonly occurs with other disorders. For example, ADHD occurs in 20 percent to 50 percent of the students with learning disabilities, in 65 percent of the students with oppositional defiant disorder, and in 20 percent to 30 percent of the students with conduct disorder (Reeve et al. 1995; Barkley 1990).

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects children and teens and can continue into adulthood. ADHD is the most commonly diagnosed mental disorder of children. Children with ADHD may be hyperactive and unable control their impulses. Or they may have trouble paying attention.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental disorder that causes above-normal levels of hyperactive and disruptive behaviour’s. ADHD is often characterized by impulsive or hyperactive behaviour. People with ADHD may have difficulties focusing their attention on a single task. They may also have a hard time sitting still for long periods.
For children, ADHD is generally associated with problems at school. Children with ADHD often have difficulty succeeding in a controlled classroom setting. Assignments can become difficult obstacles, instead of productive learning experiences. One in 10 children between ages 5 to 17 is diagnosed with ADHD, making this one of the most common childhood disorders in the United States.

Acute scrotum is a general term referring to an emergency condition affecting the contents or the wall of the scrotum.
There are a number of conditions that present acutely, predominantly with pain and/or swelling
A careful and detailed history and examination, and in some cases, investigations allow differentiation between these diagnoses. A prompt diagnosis is essential as the patient may require urgent surgical intervention
Testicular torsion refers to twisting of the spermatic cord, causing ischaemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion results from inadequate fixation of the testis to the tunica vaginalis producing ischemia from reduced arterial inflow and venous outflow obstruction.
The prevalence of testicular torsion in adult patients hospitalized with acute scrotal pain is approximately 25 to 50 percent

Lung Cancer: Artificial Intelligence, Synergetics, Complex System Analysis, S...Oleg Kshivets
RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.
3. MEANING-what is it?
• Attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD) is one of the most
common childhood disorders and can
continue through adolescence and
adulthood. Symptoms include
difficulty staying focused and paying
attention, difficulty controlling
behavior, and hyperactivity (over-
activity).
8. Symptoms of inattention
• Be easily distracted, miss details, forget things,
and frequently switch from one activity to
another
• Have difficulty focusing on one thing
• Become bored with a task after only a few
minutes, unless they are doing something
enjoyable
• Have trouble completing or turning in homework
assignments, often losing things (e.g., pencils,
toys, assignments) needed to complete tasks or
activities
• Not seem to listen when spoken to Daydream,
become easily confused, and move slowly
• Have difficulty processing information as quickly
and accurately as others
9. • Fidget and squirm in their seats
• Talk nonstop
• Dash around, touching or playing with anything and
everything in sight
• Have trouble sitting still during dinner, school, and
story time
• Be constantly in motion
• Have difficulty doing quiet tasks or activities.
10. Who is at risk?
• ADHD is one of the most common childhood
disorders and can continue through adolescence
and into adulthood. The average age of onset is
7 years old.
• ADHD affects about 4.1% American adults age
18 years and older in a given year. The disorder
affects 9.0% of American children age 13 to 18
years. Boys are four times at risk than girls.
• Studies show that the number of children being
diagnosed with ADHD is increasing, but it is
unclear why.
11.
12. Cure :
• The most common type of medication
used for treating ADHD is called a
"stimulant." Although it may seem
unusual to treat ADHD with a
medication considered a stimulant, it
actually has a calming effect on
children with ADHD. Many types of
stimulant medications are available.
13. ADHD in ADULTS :
• For some adults, a diagnosis of ADHD can
bring a sense of relief. Adults who have
had the disorder since childhood, but who
have not been diagnosed, may have
developed negative feelings about
themselves over the years. Receiving a
diagnosis allows them to understand the
reasons for their problems, and treatment
will allow them to deal with their problems
more effectively
15. Cure in Adults :
• A professional counselor or therapist can
help an adult with ADHD learn how to
organize his or her life with tools such as a
large calendar or date book, lists,
reminder notes, and by assigning a special
place for keys, bills, and paperwork. Large
tasks can be broken down into more
manageable, smaller steps so that
completing each part of the task provides
a sense of accomplishment.
16. • Psychotherapy, including cognitive
behavioral therapy, also can help change
one's poor self-image by examining the
experiences that produced it. The
therapist encourages the adult with ADHD
to adjust to the life changes that come
with treatment, such as thinking before
acting, or resisting the urge to take
unnecessary risks.
17. Living with :
• Schedule
• Organize everyday items
• Use homework and notebook
organizers
• Be clear and consistent
• Give rewards and praise when rules
are followed …..
