Non Riservato promotes innovation in public places, through its members and the community: organizations, cooperatives, professionals and companies, that make jobs out of creativity, a transformative urban and social tool.
The network brings together those who share its philosophy and aims, who want to experience new organizational and production models, but also who have a common desire to take back their public spaces, through creativity and participatory processes.
The development of Non Riservato is made possible thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cariplo and the partnership with the City of Milan. The project collaborates with the University of Milano Bicocca (Department of Sociology and Social Research) and Politecnico of Milano (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies).
What does NR do?
Non Riservato creates projects that connect all the different capacities of its members: public art, urban games, urban sports, performance, street art, architecture and design. The projects have the common features of all taking part in public spaces; they start processes of re-appropriation, creative involvement of participants and develop socialization and facilitate meetings.
Non Riservato acts as an incubator, mostly through bidding of development and prototyping for new projects.
Non Riservato also involves external partners to carry out strategic projects. Non Riservato follows its strategic lines, by working on a commission basis with the public and the private entities, that need services or projects with a highly creative and social impact.

LTTA #3: Lecco (Italy), November 2021
The third day was spent in Milan. The
group visited the theatre school “Proxima
Res” that is also a theatre company. Here
they met a set and costume designer, who
told them the secrets of her job. In the
afternoon the group visited Teatro alla
Scala Museum with a special guide: a set
designer at La Scala Theatre.
The fourth day was dedicated to
scenography. A workshop was led by the
art collective Teste di Idra, a group of
young artists who express themselves using
different forms of expression such as
photography, poetry, paint. They gave the
group precious tips on how to use these
artistic expressions to realize the
scenography of the performance they will
have to stage at the end of the project.
The last day of the LTTA in Lecco marked
also the end of the training phase of
ATENEA project. After that each group
started to work on their own writing the
script and realizing costumes and sets.
Before greeting, Domingo Ferrandis went
through the different steps of
autobiographical theatre methodology
and answered the several questions of both
beneficiaries and directors.

ATENEA PARTNERS
name and cont@ct
From 18th
to 22nd
November partners
and beneficiaries met in Lecco, in
Northern Italy, for the last LTTA
before the realization of the local
performances.
In the LTTA hosted by the Italian partner
Les Cultures took part almost 40 people
counting beneficiaries, coordinators and
accompanying persons. The title was From
paper to stage - Aesthetics and all the
activities organized aimed at helping the
participants to develop skills in this field.
The design of the activities was also done in
coordination with Domingo Ferrandis, with
the aim of exploiting the full potential of the
methodology of Autobiographical theatre.,
The LTTA started with a workshop about
vulnerability led by Ferrandis, with reused
materials in a restaurant confiscated to a
mafia boss. This place now is part of a
social project that promotes training courses
and activates job placement paths for
vulnerable people.
The following day the group had a guided
tour of Lecco focused on the places
Alessandro Manzoni described in his
masterpiece The Betrothed. For the
participants it was a precious chance to
learn about this novel and its author which
are both symbols of Lecco. They also met
two professionals who work with
aesthetics: a the graphic designer and
exhibition curator and an interior designer.

ERASMUS+2020-1-ES01-KA204-082354 ATENEA erasmus project | newsletter 03 | 02-2022
At the end of June 2022 all partners and their beneficiaries will
meet in Valencia for the Festival of Autobiographical Theatre.
Associacio Ambit, ATENEA project coordinator, is already
working hand in hand with Domingo Ferrandis on the
organisation of this huge event.
The program will include not only the theatre performances of
each group, but also many extra activities such as film
screenings, workshops, and many others.None of this would
be possible without the collaboration with several associations
Ambit already works with. The main partner of the event will be
Asociación de Vecinas y Vecinos de Natzaret.
Nazaret is a Valencian neighborhood located near the sea, close
to Cabañal Cañamelar, where some project activities already
took place during the LTTA organised in Valencia last
September.
The name Nazaret (in Valencian Natzaret ) is a deformation of
the term lazaretto (in Valencian llatzeret). In 1720 plague
ravaged the town of Marseille in France. The authorities to stop
the epidemic ordered that the ports on the trade routes of
Marseille enabled a space where merchants and travelers could
spend the quarantine. Thus, it was ordered the creation of a
lazaretto. Later, the needs to enlarge the city caused this area to
expand with houses and barracks where fishermen and dock
workers could live.
Only at the end of the XIX century it became a famous place for
the people of Valencia who wanted to relax and enjoy the beach.

The Festival of Autobiographical Theatre
Starting from the ‘70s Nazaret neighborhood met years of decay
due to it’s strong gypsy influence and its drug-related activities at
the commercial port. However, it has always had a strong
identity and many cultural associations were and are still based
there.
Over the past few years a process of gentrification has been
affecting many neighborhoods in Valencia, including Nazaret,
where a huge number of infrastructural projects will take place in
the mid-term. This, together with the proximity to the sea, and the
essence of a working and maritime neighborhood with its customs
and culture, makes it possible to foresee the positioning of Nazaret
as a redeveloped and fashionable neighborhood in Valencia in the
coming years.
As we can easily understand from the history of this
neighporhood, Nazaret is strongly related to segregation and
stigma. That’s why ATENEA chose it as the perfect location for
an initiative about inclusion such as the Autobiographical
Theatre Festival.
