Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere, promising self-driving cars, medical breakthroughs, and new ways of working. But how do you separate hype from reality? How can your company apply AI to solve real business problems?
Here’s what AI learnings your business should keep in mind for 2017.
Study: The Future of VR, AR and Self-Driving CarsLinkedIn
We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising.
This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.

Milestone Architecture organized an exhibition titled "Ancient Presence, Modern Projection: Torcello-Venice, Italy" that immersed visitors in a contemporary experience of Byzantine structures on Torcello island. The exhibition included installations in New York and Venice connected through live video feeds. It interpreted the structures' relationship to architecture through physical objects, light projections, and interactive software. The exhibition and its website utilized human-centered design and various presentation methods to make the experience accessible to all visitors.

XENIA
The project, started in 2014, is curated by Elisa Fantin and Maria Giovanna Virga and designed by the
same with the collaboration of the artists Valerio Nicolai and Thomas Braida.
Xenia is an artist residency that aims to bring together two geographically distant Italian cities (Pa-
lermo and Venice) by discounting the ancient Greek custom of hospitality, the xenia (ξενία), through
the involvement of some of the foundations, public institutions and private galleries active in their
respective cities. Born from the meeting of different people, for backgrounds and expertise within the
workshops offered by the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice during 2013, the authors of the
project are: the artists Thomas Braida (Gorizia, 1982) and Valerio Nicolai (Gorizia, 1988), the curator
Elisa Fantin (Padua, 1981) and Maria Giovanna Virga (Palermo, 1988). Thanks to the support of the
Academy of Palermo, the curators chose to involve the Sicilian artists CAMPOSTABILE artistic duo
- made up of Mario Campo (Alcamo, 1987) and Lorena Stabile (Alcamo, 1989) - and the artist Gian-
fran- co Maranto (Petralia Sottana, 1983). The project will be repeated annually.
At the end of the residences there are two final exhibitions in their respective cities with the participa-
tion of all the selected artists both in Venice and Palermo.
The institutions involved for this first ediction are:
_Fondazione Bevilaqua La Masa
_Università IUAV, Venezia
_Accademia delle Belle Arti di Venezia
_Spazio Rolak, Venezia

FAR FESTA _ Nuove Feste Veneziane
FAR FESTA / Nuove Feste Veneziane is an ongoing independent research and curatorial project on
contemporary civic rituals by curator and IUAV guest professor Claire Tancons and curatorial collecti-
ve and Bevilacqua La Masa 2013 studio residents CAKE AWAY.
For his first released in 2013 the project was developed, in two different events called CORTEO DE
CASTEO I and CORTEO DE CASTEO II, by artistic performances and interventions, discussions and
events embedded within the community and throughout the Sestiere of Castello during the 55th Veni-
ce Biennale.
FAR FESTA / Nuove Feste Veneziane is a series of popular public performances spread throughout
the city of Venice and spanning the duration of the 55th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale
di Venezia. The aim of Far Festa is threefold: to build bridges between all Venetians, permanent and
temporary residents, by creating new common rituals; between local and international art communi-
ties by bringing visibility to local artists and arts organizations during the Venice Biennale; between Ve-
netians and the local and international artistic community and its means are unique: to bring together
the legacy of the Venetian Republic’s civic rituals, popular festivals and carnival with an alternative
history of performance based on parades and processions.
Taking an expansive view of the notion of Venetian citizen that includes not just local residents but
also foreign residents, commuters, migrants, tourists and students as in the best days of the Venetian
Republic and looking at artists as agents for social change, Far Festa seeks to renew the city’s sense
of self and indeed self-representation, through performance/rituals that are historically-rooted, cultu-
rally-specific and, ultimately, universal.
Artists and artistic collectives invited to participate are: Riccardo Banfi, Bruna Esposito, NEOLA ON-
LUS, Marta Grasso, IOCOSE, Elena Mazzi, Maria Morganti, Claudia Rossini, Chiara Trivelli and Emilio
Vavarella, Viaindustriae
_CORTEO DE CASTEO I took place on Saturday June 1st on the official opening day of the 55th Venice Biennale. A day
long, ongoing program.
_CORTEO DE CASTEO II unfolded the week of June 25 – 30 during Sagra di San Piero de Casteo, the popular festival of
the Castello neighborhood. CORTEO DE CASTEO II was organized in close collaboration with Sagra organizer Comitato
San Piero and Director Paolo Basili.
