Project Description
SHE projectaimsto the professional developmentof eachpartnerorganizationthroughEuropean
collaboration,throughdirectlearningof variousnon-formalmethodsinthe fieldof educationfor
genderequalityandcompetences.Itisdesignedtoimprove the qualityandeffectivenessof learning
experiencesduringthe Short-termjointstaff trainingevents.
Duringthe projecttime,experts,workersandtrainersinvolvedinadulteducationfromeachpartner
organizationwill gainspecializedcompetencestoeducate victimsof domesticviolence andadult
people theyworkwithtodevelopaculture of genderequalityandtocombatand preventdomestic
violence.
The specificcompetencesgained,duringthisprojectbythe individualsinvolvedinadulteducation
will improve the capacityof ourorganizationsdealingwiththe short-termjointstaff trainingevents.
Our projectanswerstothe lack of a social educationfromagenderperspective,whosedirect
consequence isthe ignorance of the rightsbythe citizensandimplicitlythe lackof social andlegal
reactionto the situationsof discrimination.
Thisprojectprovideslearningopportunitiesforthe partnersinvolvedingendereducation.The key
pointishowto developcompetencies,strategiesandpracticestocombat andpreventdomestic
violence foradultpeople,forwomenvictimsof domesticviolencebelongingbothtovulnerable
groupsand mainstreamsocietyempoweringthemtostandagainstdomesticviolence andforsocial
inclusion.Workingwithwomenwhosufferdoublediscrimination - genderdiscriminationand
ethnic/racial discrimination(migrants,refugees,Romapeople) –partnerorganizationswillprovide
consultancyregardingtheirrightsinline withnational legislationandIstanbul Convention,tackle
prejudicesandgenderstereotypes,norms,attitudesandbehaviors;theywill become more capable
to change theirattitudestowardsdomesticviolence andtostandagainstit,more trustedand self-
confidence facilitatingtheirsocial inclusion.
Aim:

cause of domesticviolence.
Objectives:
To improve the professional capacityof eachpartnerorganizationthroughEuropeancollaboration,
acquiringnewcompetencesandnon-formal methodstocombatandpreventdomesticviolence and
to overcome the patriarchal mentality.
To preventdomesticviolence andtoovercome patriarchal thinkingthroughguidance andcounselling
meetingsonone toone basis.
To raise awarenessondomesticviolence throughAwarenessRaisingCampaign“StopDomestic
Violence”“launchedbyall partners.
To strengththe networkamongpartnersdevelopinganew e-learningtool –"SHE”, a website TV
channel of internationalvalue,bringingtogetherthe beststrategiesandnon-formal methodsused
by projectpartnerstocombat and preventdomesticviolence andtoovercome patriarchal mentality.
The target group is formedbysocial workers,trainers,educators(psychologists,jurists,journalists,
and visual artists) involvedingendereducationbelongingtopartners’organizations.
Partnerswill worktogether,learnfromeachother,andshare the bestpracticesandstrategies
againstdomesticviolence andforequal opportunities.
