The selection of resin should be given utmost
care while selecting for composite materials.
Due care must be given while selecting the resin
because there is a chance of altering the entire
property of the composite materials. So, we
must be very cautious during the selection of
resin. The resin that we have chosen for our
project work is Epoxy and Bisphenol resin. The
reason for implementing bisphenol resin in our
project work is it contains more mechanical
properties than other resins.

Bisphenol resin
Resins: The resins selected that possesses good mechanical properties
are: Epoxy and Bisphenol.
Hardener: The hardener is a type of chemical substance, which
hardens the blended natural fibers and the resin, which is
compressed inside the mould.
Accelator: The accelator is also a chemical substance similar to the
hardener. The accelator boosts up or speeds up the bonding time or
the adhesion time between the natural fibers and the resin.
Promoter: Promoter is also a chemical substance which is similar to
the hardener as well as accelator. The promoter, promotes the
bonding or adhesin between the natural fibers and the resin.

  • 1. The selection of resin should be given utmost care while selecting for composite materials. Due care must be given while selecting the resin because there is a chance of altering the entire property of the composite materials. So, we must be very cautious during the selection of resin. The resin that we have chosen for our project work is Epoxy and Bisphenol resin. The reason for implementing bisphenol resin in our project work is it contains more mechanical properties than other resins.

  • 6. Resins: The resins selected that possesses good mechanical properties are: Epoxy and Bisphenol. Hardener: The hardener is a type of chemical substance, which hardens the blended natural fibers and the resin, which is compressed inside the mould. Accelator: The accelator is also a chemical substance similar to the hardener. The accelator boosts up or speeds up the bonding time or the adhesion time between the natural fibers and the resin. Promoter: Promoter is also a chemical substance which is similar to the hardener as well as accelator. The promoter, promotes the bonding or adhesin between the natural fibers and the resin.

Qaiss In their research, they showed that, the use of coupling agents improved tensile property of the composites.

Jagannatha Reddy Tara Sen and Jagannath Reddy found these natural fibers are useful in making natural composite that can be used in various field and mainly in civil engineering in construction field. 4. Properties and Modification methods for vegetable fibers for natural fiber composites 1995 A.K. Bledzki, S. Reihmane, and J. Gassan In this research, they found that composites that are made of Natural Vegetable Fiber(NVF) combine good mechanical properties with a low specific mass.
