the audience of this magazine
would be parents that would

school their child attends
meaning they will show
images of happy faces and
productivity.
Ideas for my magazines (school and music magazines)
• Key features (s)
productivity: In order to make my school magazine like that of others, I have to get into the mind set of a magazine
designer who in turn will try to get in the mind of a audience member so when I began thinking and realised that the audience (although
could be a student) is probably a parent so when she reads the magazine they will assessing the school they have chose for their child
whether they know or not so to successfully make a school magazine I will have to do what any magazine does, cater and give the audience
positive reinforcement to satisfy their biases and the way I can do this is by implying to the viewer that their choice in school for their child
was correct through showing students being productive as it will make the audience assume that their child has a great investment in their
work and because of will be successful, I will also show teachers who are invested in the students work to consolidate the fact that the
school is as professional as possible.
concepts: my first idea is quite simple but effective in evoking the required response I would, concept is that I place a
student with a giant rosy grin in the centre of the shot staring directly at the camera because it where your eyes are naturally drawn to plus
it will give the reader (parents) a reassurance that their child is happy as they will project their child in way of the child on screen.
I will have my character placed behind a white board and on the white board will be positive adjectives written in
bright sporadic colours around the characters head, the white board will further consolidate the school theme as well as giving a clean
feeling to the give the idea that the school is at peak condition which will be applied to all facets of the school also the bright writing means
it will be very easy to spot as well give the impression that the children are in a creative and joyful space.

when making a music a magazine its important to understand the cultural and social values that are represented in the
genre of music that is displayed on your cover, for example pop music is usually related to love, relationship and other easily relatable
issues or heavy metal with its angry, loud anti establishment views and its fundamental that when developing the cover or your music
magazine the themes associated with the music are quickly and effectively
